摘要： An adaptor assembly to be fitted onto a service pipe comprising a host pipe lined with lining pipe is provided. The adaptor assembly includes a body to seal with the host pipe, a bore extending along a longitudinal axis of said body, and a compression element mountable on and axially and displaceable relative to the body. The adaptor assembly includes an axially translatable piston, an annular flange protruding into said bore, and a grip ring disposable between said piston and said flange and having an inner radial surface an outer radial surface of the lining pipe. A slip spacer is disposable between the compression element and the piston to transmit axial load prevent transmission of torque. The compression element is moveable to axially displace the piston causing the grip ring to bear against the inclined annular flange and grip radially inwardly against the outer radial surface.

The spring centralizer device has first and second collars spaced apart along a longitudinal axis. Spring bow portions extend between the collars. As the device is made from a single piece of material, the material extends seamlessly from each collar portion through the bow portions so that there are no joins or points of weakness. Use of boron steel means that the device can be made by cold forming.

摘要： A device for applying torque to e.g. a screw-threaded pipe includes a pair of gripping jaws pivotally mounted on a cage and carrying respective followers engaging cam surfaces on the radially inner surface of a rotary drive member. The jaws have friction linings. The case is connected to a clamp on the pipe so as to prevent rotation of the cage relative to the pipe. When a rotary drive is transmitted to the drive member, its cam surfaces operate the gripping jaws to clamp them about the pipe and increases the clamping pressure until the pipe begins to rotate with the drive member. The rotary drive member is mounted on a primary support which is held against rotation about the pipe and provides the required reaction force for the rotation.
