    • A method and device is able to authenticate a subscriber of a digital mobile radiotelephone system vis-à-vis an authentication entity, wherein the subscriber firstly initializes vis-à-vis the authentication entity by executing several times the authentication algorithm containing stored subscriber-specific components and by storing the corresponding response parameters of the subscriber-specific components in a non-volatile memory. Systematic authentication of the subscriber of the mobile radiotelephone system vis-à-vis the authentication entity via a common interface is made possible by the authentication parameters stored in the memory since the authentication entity can always refer back to the response parameters of the individual subscriber module it already knows.

    • The invention relates to a method and arrangement for securing a man-machine dialogue between a user and at least one application, which may be executed on a terminal, whereby a communication between user and application is achieved by means of input channels and output channels on the terminal. According to the invention, the user can be given the security that he is communicating with only one particular application, whereby the input channels and/or the output channels of the terminal, together or separately, may be optionally switched by means of a switching device such that only the particular application is available.

    • A cordless communication system includes a mobile terminal of a public mobile communication system and a base station. The base station is connectable to a public fixed network and compatible at an air interface with the mobile communication system which has at least one authentication function. A read and write unit of the base station reads and writes from and to, respectively, at least one identification module. Sections of data of the identification module used in the base station are identical to sections of data stored on a chip card of an access-authorized mobile terminal. The read data from the identification module is processed through software implemented in the base station. The mobile terminal is authenticated with regard to the base station through the processed data, wherein the base station fulfills the same functions and tasks as a home location register and, respectively, an authentication center of the mobile communication system. The mobile terminal is operated through the public fixed network if the authentication has been successful.
