摘要： A machine for making absorbent sanitary articles, where each article includes components progressively positioned relative to each other and assembled along a production line. The machine includes a programmable electronic controller device having a shift register, at least one optical inspection system connected to the programmable electronic controller device, and an operator interface connected to the electronic controller. The programmable electronic controller device generates a machine sync signal, a trigger signal for activating the optical inspection system in phase with the sync signal and a shift register shift command. The optical inspection system receives the trigger signal and has a defined maximum response time which produces at least one band of uncertainty. The operator sets with the operator interface the instant of activating the shift register shift command outside the band of uncertainty and between two consecutive sync signals defining a machine step.

摘要： Blanks used in the manufacture of nappies/diapers are folded on a machine comprising a first aspirating roller (5) by which single blanks (2) are advanced in succession toward a second aspirating roller (6) rotating counter and substantially tangential to the first roller (5) at a folding station (T). The first roller (5) is equipped with movable restraining elements (8) designed to engage an intermediate part of each advancing blank (2), so that a leading half of the blank remains free to be taken up by a transfer mechanism (11) operating between the first and second rollers (5, 6) in an area upstream of the folding station (T), and transferred from the first roller (5) to the second roller (6); as the two rollers (5, 6) rotate, the trailing half of the blank (2) retained on the first roller (5) by the restraining elements (8) is drawn closer to the leading half, whereupon the two halves converge gradually until flattened one against the other on passing through the folding station (T), which coincides with the point of tangency between the two rollers (5, 6), and the fold in the blank (2) is complete. The transfer mechanism (11) swings pendulum fashion, moving in sympathy with the first roller (5) when the leading half of the blank (2) is taken up and detached from this roller and in sympathy with the second roller (6) once the leading half of the blank has been released to this same second roller.

摘要： A continuous strip (3) of material advancing along a given feed direction (A) is shaped by a device (1) that comprises a rotating drum (6a), around which the strip (3) is looped at least in part, and a laser cutting head (7). The laser head (7) operates from the side of the strip (3) opposite to the drum (6a), which is furnished internally with a first pressurized chamber (10a) able to generate an extracting or blowing action on smoke produced by the laser cutting process, and a second chamber (10b) adjacent to the first, by which scrap material cut from the strip (3) is detached and retained on the drum. Smoke produced by the laser cut is distanced from the strip (3) almost instantaneously by a blower (14) located between the cutting head (7) and the drum (6a), and thus prevented from condensing and hardening on the cut edge of the strip (3). The cutting head (7) is also equipped with scanning appliances (100) serving to deflect the laser beams (F) onto the cutting area, and positioned selectively by a control and setting device (9) incorporating dedicated software.

The feed unit (13) operates by making skew cross-cuts (16) in a continuous strip (15) of material, so as to generate a succession of tab elements (5) appearing trapezoidal in outline; the tab elements (5) are then distanced one from another in alternation along a direction (D3) transverse to their feed direction (D2) through the machine, so as to obtain two single columns (23) which are taken up by a roller (27) and aligned one with another so that the single tab elements (5) are ordered into a succession of transversely aligned pairs. The alignment roller (27) rotates tangentially to the transport line (6) and is timed to place one pair of tab elements (5) on each advancing article (2).
