摘要： A movable sheet separating unit is pushed all the time by a lifting spring in a direction toward a feeding roller. In a non-feeding state, a sheet lifting plate is engaged with an operating fraction so that the movable sheet separating unit is held in a standby position where a separating pad is separated from the feeding roller. In a feeding state, the sheet lifting plate rises and disengages from the operating fraction so that the movable sheets separating unit moves to a pressing position where the separating pad is pressed against the feeding roller. In the pressing position, the separating pad is pressed against the feeding roller via a rotatable support base by a pressing spring, and is displaced by rotation in a direction away from the feeding roller in accordance with a thickness of a sheet S passing through between the separating pad and the feeding roller. Thus, durability of the separating pad can be improved, and a feeder suitable for a fixing type feeding cassette can be provided.

摘要： Disclosed is a polyamide resin film which has excellent dimensional stability with respect to moisture absorption, excellent mechanical characteristics and sliding properties under high temperature and high humidity conditions, and excellent handling properties. Specifically disclosed is a biaxially stretched polyamide resin film, to which 0.3-10% by weight of an inorganic material including a layered compound is added. The biaxially stretched polyamide resin film is characterized in that the layered compound is in-plane oriented, and that the film has a haze of 1.0-20%, an elastic modulus in the longitudinal direction of 1.7-3.5 GPa at a relative humidity (RH) of 35%, a surface roughness (Sa) of 0.01-0.1 μm, and a coefficient of static friction (F/B) of 0.3-1.0 at a normal stress of 0.5 N/cm2.

摘要： A document reader includes a document feeder conveying a document along a document conveyance path, a first image reader reading an image formed on a first side of the conveyed document, and a second image reader reading an image formed on a second side of the conveyed document. Each of the first and second image readers is of an optical reduction system constituted of a light source, a mirror, a lens and an image sensor. The second image reading means is unified into a single assembly including at least the mirror, the lens and the image sensor, to be thus detachably attached, as a single unit, to the document feeding means. Thus, the document reader can clearly read the images formed on the first and second sides, it requires a short period of time from image reading to image outputting, and its maintenance is readily conducted.

At time point t3 at which a second elapse time Δt4 from the time point t2 reaches a second specified time S2 (a given length of time), a reverse roller electromagnetic clutch is switched from an engaged state to a disengaged state, rendering reverse rollers and sheet discharge rollers freely rotatable. At subsequent time point t4, a coil of a solenoid is de-energized, to separate the reverse rollers from each other.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes: a cabinet cover unit having a control panel; an optical system-incorporating unit incorporating a scanner portion for optically reading the information of originals and having a separation roller for feeding originals to a cover glass of the scanner. 摘要： A document feeder includes a document placing portion, a pick-up roller, a pair of feed rollers, a pair of registration rollers, a document sensor, a moving mechanism, and a control portion. The pick-up roller can move between a sheet feeding position where the pick-up roller contacts with the upper surface of the document placed on a placement surface and a standby position where the pick-up roller does not contact with the upper surface of the document placed on the placement surface. The document sensor detects a document between the feed rollers and the registration rollers in a document feed direction. The moving mechanism moves the pick-up roller up and down. The control portion moves the pick-up roller up to the standby position at a timing when the leading edge of the card document reaches the document sensor in a card document mode in which card documents are successively fed.
