    • A depth-of-field preview apparatus for a single lens reflex camera is provided with a display circuit responsive to a preview display signal generated by a control circuit with at least one of first and second switches being closed. The first switch is closed when an operating member is operated to an operated position and opened when the operating member is released to return to a non-operated position under a spring bias. In response to the closure of the first switch the control circuit generates the preview display signal and an electromagnetic device causes a diaphragm stop-down mechanism to stop-down a diaphragm. When the diaphragm is stopped-down to a preset aperture size, another electromagnetic device stops the diaphragm stop-down mechanism to set the diaphragm to the preset aperture size and at the same time closes the second switch. With the second switch being closed the control circuit continues to generate the preview display signal independently of the condition of the first switch, so that a preview display by the display circuit does not cease even if the operating member is released and accordingly the first switch is opened.

    • This invention is directed to a camera which has an information setting device including an information setting member rotatable around a display device. The information setting member is provided with a window member which covers the display device and through which the indication displayed on the display device can be seen. The display device is supported on a frame which defines a camera body in association with a cover member surrounding the frame, while the information setting device is supported on the cover member. Accordingly, the size of both devices can be made large without necessity of enlarging the camera body in proportion to the size of the devices. Further, both devices can be assembled independently from each other. Namely, the information setting device is mounted on the cover member which is still separated from the frame. Meanwhile, the display device is mounted on the frame. Finally, the cover member with the information setting device and frame with the display device are assembled. Accordingly, the devices are easily assembled, inspected and adjusted.

    • A flashlight emitting device for a camera wherein the flash coverage of a flash device is varied, only when a mode in which flashlight is to be emitted is selected, in response to a zooming operation to assure appropriate exposure and eliminate wasteful consumption of power. The device comprises flashlight emitting means, mode changing over means operable in response to operation of a manually operable member for selecting one of a first mode in which daylight photographing is to be performed and a second mode in which the flashlight emitting means may be rendered operative to effect flashlight photographing, exposure controlling means for effecting exposure control in accordance with a selected mode, driving means for varying the flash coverage of the flashlight emitting means between a tele side and a wide side in response to a variation of the focal length of a lens of the camera, and driving controlling means for rendering the driving means inoperative when the first mode is selected by the mode changing over means but enabling operation of the driving means when the second mode is selected by the mode changing over means.
