摘要： An adapter for use in a breathing circuit including a housing with a conduit having a ventilator port adapted to be coupled to a breathing circuit and a patient port adapted to communicate with a patient interface. A medicament container receptacle communicates with the conduit between the ventilator port and the patient port. The receptacle includes a support block having a well shaped to receive a valve stem extending from a container of medicament and an actuator finger extending upwardly in the receptacle adjacent the support block. The actuator finger is adapted to actuate a dose counter coupled to the container.

摘要： In a modular medicament delivery system, a dispenser housing has a support block with a well and an orifice communicating with the well. A first container assembly includes a valve stem shaped to be received by the well in the support block. The first container assembly has a first exterior shape. A second container assembly includes a valve stem shaped to be received by the well in the support block. The second container assembly has a second exterior shape that is different than the first exterior shape. An insert member is adapted for mounting to the dispenser housing in the cavity and defines an interior space shaped to receive the second exterior shape of the second container. Methods of assembling the system, a system kit and a device are also provided. A medication delivery device includes first and second end pieces and a collapsible chamber disposed therebetween.

摘要： A device for dispensing metered dosages of a substance from a container includes a dispenser housing having a longitudinally extending cavity defined at least in part by a wall and a support block spaced from the wall. The container is disposed in the cavity of the dispenser housing and is container reciprocally moveable within the dispenser housing along a longitudinal axis. An indicating device is disposed in the dispenser housing and includes an annular member disposed around a first end of the container with a valve stem of the container extending beyond the annular member. The indicating device includes at least one indicator member rotatable about an axis of rotation. At least a portion of the indicating device is fixedly connected to the container and is reversibly removable with the container from the dispenser housing.

摘要： A dispenser for dispensing metered dosages of a substance from a container includes a dispenser housing having a top, a bottom, and a wall defining an elongated cavity open at the top and extending along a longitudinal axis. An indicating device includes a face member defining a viewing window. The face member is snap-fitted to the dispenser housing wall. The indicating device further includes an indicator member having a surface visible through the viewing window. The surface includes dosage indicia. The indicator member is rotatable about an axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. An indicator actuator has at least a portion disposed in the cavity. The actuator is adapted to be moved by an actuation of the container, with the actuator adapted to rotate the indicator member upon a predetermined number of actuations of the container.

摘要： An oscillating positive expiratory pressure device comprising a housing enclosing at least one chamber, a chamber inlet configured to receive exhaled air into the at least one chamber, and a chamber outlet configured to permit exhaled air to exit the at least one chamber. A channel is positioned in an exhalation flow path between the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet, with the channel being moveably connected to a chamber of the at least one chamber. An air flow regulator is moveable with respect to the channel between a first position, where the flow of air through the channel is restricted and a second position, where the flow of air through the channel is less restricted, the air flow regulator being configured to repeatedly move between the first position and the second position in response to a flow of exhaled air.

摘要： A ventilator assembly includes a housing defining an inhalation interior space and an exhalation interior space separate from the inhalation interior space. A ventilator port is positioned at a first location of the housing and defines a first passageway in communication with the inhalation interior space and the exhalation interior space. A patient port is positioned at a second location of the housing and defines a second passageway in communication with the inhalation interior space and the exhalation interior space. A one-way inhalation valve permits one-way flow from the ventilator port to the patient port through the inhalation interior space and a one-way exhalation valve permits one-way flow from the patient port to the ventilator port through the exhalation interior space. A receptacle is in communication with the inhalation interior space and is operative to receive a container comprising an aerosolized medication.

摘要： Ventilator circuit aerosol delivery systems used to administer medication to a patient are disclosed. In one implementation, a metered dose inhaler (“MDI”) ventilator assembly may include a housing that defines an interior space, an inhalation port that defines an inhalation passageway in communication with the interior space, an exhalation port that defines an exhalation passageway in communication with the interior space, a patient port that defines a patient passageway in communication with the interior space, and a MDI receptacle positioned on the housing and in communication with the interior space. Conversely, during exhalation, gases, moisture, condensation, and/or mucus expelled from the patient flow through the patient port, the interior space, and the exhalation port.
