摘要： A device for the treatment of skin by radiation pulses. The device has a detector measuring a biophysical property of skin, such as temperature increase, dispersion or absorption coefficient, or reflection coefficient for light having a predetermined wavelength, and also has a control unit which determines, from the biophysical property, a safe dose of radiation. The device automatically protects against an overdose from the radiation source.The invention can be used, not only in a hair removing device such as a laser epilator, a laser shaver or a flashlight epilator, but also in devices for the medical treatment of skin by means of radiation, such as photodermatology systems.

摘要： The invention relates to a hair removing device (1) comprising a hair removing member (3) for removing hairs from human skin and an auxiliary member for generating a change of the temperature of the skin present near the hair removing member. According to the invention, the auxiliary member comprises a heating member (13) for generating a rise in temperature of the skin present near the hair removing member. Said temperature rise has a pain masking effect, which can be attributed to the fact that the heat receptors present in the heated skin generate heat signals in the nervous system which block the pain signals generated by the adjacent pain receptors when the hairs are being removed. Thus, the user experiences less pain during the removal of the hairs. In a preferred embodiment, the heating member (13) comprises a skin contacting element (19) which is in thermal contact with a compound having a eutectic composition contained in a chamber (17) of a holder (15). Examples of such a compound are CH3COONa·3H2O and NaOH·H2O.

摘要： A device for generating microspheres from a fluid includes an injection plate with at least one defined injection channel having on an inlet side an inflow opening for receiving the fluid and on an outlet side an outflow opening for delivering microspheres formed from the fluid. The device includes feed elements for carrying fluid through the injection channel and is in open communication, on a side wall thereof, with at least one secondary channel at least at the position of a break-up point where at least during operation a flow of fluid in the injection channel breaks up into separate parts. The secondary channel includes in use an auxiliary fluid at least at the position of a break-up point.

摘要： In an integrated optical lightguide device including a light-transmitting core layer, an inclusion or buffer layer, and an active or cladding layer. The cladding layer is divided into segments. Groups of different segments exhibit different refractive indices, light intensity profiles or different degrees of sensitivity which have been effected by different methods. Thus, repeated adjustable or controllable transmission has resulted in an extremely sensitive waveguide system for a sensor, a modulator, or a spectrophotometer.
