摘要： A pixel driving method is adapted for a liquid crystal display. Each pixel includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel, in which the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel each includes a first display region and a second display region. The pixel driving method includes providing a first voltage to the first displaying region of the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel; providing a second voltage to the second displaying region of the first sub-pixel and a third voltage to the second displaying region of the second sub-pixel; and when the provided first voltage is larger than a predetermined voltage, providing the second voltage so that the provided second voltage is smaller than the provided third voltage.

摘要： A display panel includes a pixel array, a gate driving circuit, and a data driving circuit. The pixel array includes a plurality of pixel blocks, a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines. The gate driving circuit is electrically coupled to the gate lines for driving sub-pixels of the pixel array. The data driving circuit is electrically coupled to the data lines for providing data signals to the sub-pixels of the pixel array. The sub-pixels of each pixel block include a plurality of first sub-pixels and a plurality of second sub-pixels. For each pixel block, the first sub-pixels and the second sub-pixels have same quantity. For displaying a specified gray-scale value, a luminance value in each first sub-pixel is greater than a luminance value in each second sub-pixel. The data driving circuit changes a polarity of each sub-pixel of the pixel array by using a polarization sequence.

The display device includes a display panel composed of a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer interposed therebetween, a first electrode, a second electrode and a third electrode. The first electrode is spaced apart from the second electrode. The third electrode is disposed on the second substrate. When the display device is operated in a narrow viewing angle mode, there exists a non-zero potential difference between the second electrode and the third electrode, and when the sub-pixel is at gray level of zero, the potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode is not zero. A driving method for driving the display device is disclosed as well.
