摘要： Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and apparatus for providing multicast/broadcast information to obstructed user equipment. Some embodiments of the apparatus include a gateway configured for communicative coupling to an antenna. The gateway is configurable to establish a first broadcast/multicast session for receiving at least one broadcast or multicast service associated with user equipment and establish a second session for providing information received in the first broadcast/multicast session to the user equipment. Some embodiments include user equipment are configurable to provide a request to receive a broadcast service or a multicast service from a gateway that receives the broadcast or multicast service(s) via a first broadcast/multicast session. Some embodiments of the user equipment are also configurable to establish a second session with the gateway for receiving the broadcast or multicast service(s).

摘要： Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for non-TCP push service in a mobile network comprise receiving, at a push server, registration information for a mobile device from a push client via a first internal interface without persistent TCP connection. The registration information includes a private IP address for the mobile device and a mobile device session identifier associated with an instance of an application client on the mobile device. A push trigger associated with an event of an application server is received at the push server via a second interface exposed outside of a service provider firewall. The push trigger includes a push trigger session identifier. When the push trigger session identifier matches the mobile device session identifier, the push trigger is determined to be associated with the instance of the application client on the mobile device and is transmitted to the push client without persistent TCP connection.

摘要： Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for non-TCP push service in a mobile network comprise receiving, at a push server, registration information for a mobile device from a push client via a first internal interface without persistent TCP connection. 摘要： In a method for controlling congestion within a cell of a wireless network providing mobile HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS), a mobile HAS client in the cell delays a request for a next HAS segment of a HAS media stream for a delay time interval in response to a notification of congestion within the cell. The mobile HAS client calculates a reduced bitrate for the next HAS segment, and requests the next HAS segment at the reduced bitrate after expiration of the delay time interval. The reduced bitrate is reduced relative to a bitrate for a previous HAS segment of the HAS media stream.

The user equipment policies can be used by application functions to cooperatively control the operation of applications among a number of user equipments.
