摘要： A network of processing devices includes a medium for low-latency interfaces for providing point-to-point connections between each of the processing devices. A switch within each processing device is arranged to facilitate communications in any combination between the processing resources and the local point-to-point interfaces within each processing device. A networking layer is provided above the low-latency interface stack, which facilitates re-use of software and exploits existing protocols for providing the point-to-point connections. Higher speeds are achieved for switching between the relatively low numbers of processor resources within each processing device, while low-latency point-to-point communications are achieved using the low-latency interfaces for accessing processor resources that are external to a processing device.

摘要： This invention relates to a method for the production of a coreless roll (110′) including a sheet (110) of flexible, not moist, material such as a fibrous absorbent material, produced by winding of the sheet in one direction and rolling this sheet about a winding axis perpendicular to such direction, and including a central dispensing leader forming a projection along such axis relative to at least one part of the plane of one of the sides of the roll. The method is characterized in that the leader is produced by displacing a portion of the end of the sheet (110) before winding so that one of the longitudinal edges of the sheet forms an angle (α) other than zero relative to such direction of winding, after which winding of the sheet about the axis is initiated. By preference several sheets are produced by longitudinal cutting of a wide sheet. The solution may be applied for production in particular of general wipe rolls, hand towel rolls, or toilet paper rolls.

摘要： A tuning circuit for tuning an integrated circuit filter, such as a continuous-time MOSFET-C filter, is disclosed. The tuning circuit includes a switched-capacitor network having a capacitor which matches the capacitor used in the filter to be tuned. Also included is a transistor which matches the transistor used in the filter. The switched-capacitor network has a effective resistance which is a function of the switching rate of the network. Feedback circuitry is included which produces a control signal used to vary the small signal resistance of the transistor to match the effective resistance of the switched-capacitor network. The filter is tuned by varying the rate of which the switched capacitor network is clocked thereby changing to effective network resistance. The control voltage responds by forcing the transistor resistance to match the new effective resistance of the switched-capacitor network. The control voltage is used to tune the filter and changes to compensate for variations in the filter capacitor and transistor, which track variations in the filter transistor and capacitor.
