摘要： A side airbag for enhancing protection of a shoulder area of a vehicle occupant having an airbag (10) which deploys beside an occupant toward the vehicle front, and an inflator (20). Before deploying, the airbag (10) is in a state having: an overlapping part (12) formed by overlapping a portion near an end part by accordion-folding or rolling; a folded-back part (14) on an inner side of the overlapping part (12) in a vehicle width direction and extended toward the front of the vehicle and folded back toward the rear of the vehicle; and a bent part (16) formed by bending a portion of the folded-back part (14), protruding from the overlapping part (12) toward the front of the vehicle toward an outer side in the vehicle width direction and covering at least part of the overlapping part (12).

The side airbag can be inflated with the thickness of the portion that protects the peripheries of the occupant shoulder and waist is small and the thickness of the portion that protects the periphery of the chest region is large. Inside a side airbag, a rapid chamber extends from a seat back region over a top region and a bottom region and tapers towards the vehicle front; a delay chamber is positioned between the top region and bottom region, and a partitioning member partitions the interior of the side airbag into the delay chamber and the rapid chamber. An inflator is provided inside the rapid chamber.

摘要： A side airbag device includes an airbag 2 and an inflator. The airbag is formed in a bag shape by connecting peripheries of first and second main base cloths and of a vehicle inner side and a vehicle outer side. The airbag is partitioned into a front chamber and a rear chamber by a first partition wall. First inner tethers are provided in the front chamber and connect between a forward vehicle direction end of the front chamber and the first partition wall. Lengths of the first inner tethers and are shorter than a length between a first joint part connecting the first partition wall to the first inner tether and the forward vehicle direction end of the front chamber in the airbag in a front to rear vehicle direction before the airbag is deployed.

An internal vent hole, through which the expansion gas introduced by the gas guide flows into the second chamber, is formed at the boundary part between the first chamber and the second chamber. The second chamber includes: an upper region and a lower region; and an intermediate region disposed between the upper region and the lower region. In addition, at least one of the upper region or the lower region is configured to be deployed so as to protrude more to the front of the vehicle than the intermediate region.

摘要： A side airbag device for restraining an occupant at an early stage by changing a thickness of a chamber includes a cushion formed in a bag shape by combining an outer panel located at an outer side in a vehicle width direction and an inner panel located at an inner side in the vehicle width direction. A baffle spans between the outer panel and the inner panel in an inside of the cushion and partitions the inside of the cushion into a front chamber located at a vehicle front side and a rear chamber located at a vehicle rear side. An inflator is disposed in the rear chamber, and a first tether and a second tether extend from the baffle toward a vehicle rear. The tethers respectively extend from the baffle via both sides of the inflator in the vehicle width direction so as to be connected with a rear end of the cushion.

摘要： This invention relates to a side airbag device stored inside a vehicle seat and fixed to a side frame. The device includes an airbag that expands and deploys to restrict an occupant; an inflator that supplies expansion gas to the airbag; and a bracket connected to the side frame that holds the airbag and the inflator. The airbag includes a prepush chamber having an inflator stored therein and mainly deploys inside of the side frame; and a main chamber connected to the prepush chamber and mainly deploys forward of the side frame. The bracket includes a first surface oriented in the forward direction of the vehicle; and a second surface oriented to the inside of the seat in the width direction of the vehicle. When the airbag is stored by being folded and/or rolled, at least the main chamber is disposed on the first surface of the bracket.
