    • In an indoor positioning system, for establishment of a cost sharing system, the positioning information transmission device does not directly transmit positional information but performs concealment and variablization on the device ID and transmits the concealed and variablized device ID. The positioning information management server stores and manages correspondence between the device IDs and positional information, and performs conversion from the device ID to the positional information in accordance with the correspondence. Further, the problem of conflict between concealed IDs upon concealment of positioning identification information by the positioning information transmission devices, which occurs when all the positioning information transmission devices use the same secret key, can be prevented. The system can be operated even when the bit length of the device ID is short.

    • A computer system including wireless terminals which transmit information, a business application server which performs a predetermined operation based on information received from the wireless terminals, and a base transceiver station which relays communications between the wireless terminals and the business application server, are provided. The base transceiver station, to manage said plural wireless terminals in groups, stores a group definition table showing a correspondence between the wireless terminals and the groups, stores the information received from the terminals in a state history table which manages the state history of the wireless terminals, extracts difference information between the information received from the wireless terminals and the information stored in the state history table, summarizes the extracted difference information for each group, and transmits it to the business application server. The data amount received by a business application server is thus reduced.

    • An object of the invention is to variously edit an image recorded in an image recording/viewing system in an image distribution system enabling a recorded image to be viewed using a mobile communication terminal via a fixed communication network or mobile network, such that a result of edition can be viewed alone or along with associated information, and thus, to enable high value-added image distribution. To accomplish the object, the invention provides an information distribution system, to which an image distribution terminal including a broadcast recording system and an image viewing terminal are connected via a communication network, wherein the image distribution terminal includes an image editing system for editing a recorded image, wherein an image edition meta information providing system for providing edition meta information required for the edition is connected to the communication network, and the image editing system edits a recorded image of the broadcast image, using the image edition meta information provided by the image edition meta information providing system, and provides the edited image to the image viewing terminal, in accordance with a viewing request from the image viewing terminal.

    • An integrated circuit card operation management system and method are provided. In one example of the system, a collator system is provided for receiving a user request to determine whether the application program can be loaded, for acquiring a card policy from a card issue management system, and for acquiring an application program policy from a service provider management system. The collator system requests card related information of the card issue management system and requests application program related information of the service provider management system. The collator system specifies a definition format. The card issue management system and the service provider management system extract requested information from existent information, convert the requested information according to the specified definition format, and transmit the converted information to the collator system. Using the acquired policies and the acquired profiles, the collator system determines whether the application program can be loaded.

    • In the prior art, the initialization process for communication between a wireless communication terminal and a base station is executed by activating the wireless communication terminal with a built-in battery. As a result, the problem is posed that a great amount of power is consumed during the initialization process and the battery of the wireless communication terminal is consumed early. Especially, in the case where the network configuration is required to be changed frequently, the life of the battery of the wireless communication terminal is extremely shortened resulting in a low practical value. In view of this, a passive RFID is mounted on the wireless communication terminal, and the initialization process is executed by the power supplied from the base station using the RFID interface. As a result, the battery consumption of the wireless communication terminal can be prevented in the initialization process.
