    • The present invention relates to a hinge assembly for a door of a kimchi storage device which mounts a door opening and closing a storage chamber of the kimchi storage device on the upper surface of a body. There is provided an integral hinge assembly for a door of a kimchi storage device which can prevent the impact during door opening and closing operations and can prevent the damage of the door by interconnecting: a cover plate fixed to a body; a hinge housing in which there are inserted an elastic means, a support plate backing up the elastic means, a control plate controlling a springback force and a support member connected to the elastic means and supporting a force between the elastic means and a press member; a turn member connected with the press member and fixed to the door.

    • A hinge assembly structure for opening and closing a door in a storage facility is provided. The hinge assembly structure includes a main body provided with a storage room, a door opening and closing the storage room on the upper portion of the main body, a hinge assembly connecting the door rotatably with the main body, and a hinge receptacle accommodating the hinge assembly, in which the hinge receptacle is integrally formed between the door and the main body. Here, the hinge assembly includes a plurality of rotating members which convert a rotational movement into a rectilinear movement according to opening and closing of the door, a fixing member which accommodates, supports and fixes the rotating members and operates in engagement with the rotating members, elastic members which give an elastic restoring force and an elastic repulsive force to the rotating members and restricting a rotational movement, and a fixed shaft which fixedly couples the rotating members, the fixing member, and the elastic members, in which the hinge assembly is inserted into and installed in the hinge receptacle via one side thereof. The hinge assembly structure is very simple and easy to be assembled with a main body, and also mitigates a closing speed of a door to prevent a mechanical impact during closing the door, and seeks stable opening and closing of doors via a secure assembly.

    • A method for controlling temperature in a chamber of a food storage apparatus comprises: (a) inputting a lower and an upper temperature limits T1 and T2, a predetermined elapsed time t1 of the chamber storing a normal amount of food needed for the temperature of the chamber to reach T1 after an initial activating of a cooling device, a predetermined temperature restoring time t3 for the temperature of the chamber to reach T2 from an initial deactivating of the chamber, a plurality of compensating values, and a plurality of reference values; (b) setting a variable A to T1; (c) activating the cooling device; (d) measuring an elapsed time t1' for the temperature of the chamber to reach T1 after an initial activating of the cooling device; (e) comparing the elapsed time t1' with t1' (f) setting the variable A to T1' if t1' is longer than t1; (g) deactivating the cooling device at an instant when the temperature of the chamber reaches the variable A; (h) activating the cooling device again at an instant when the temperature of the chamber is increased by .DELTA.T; (i) measuring a temperature restoring time t3' from the deactivating time to the subsequent activating time of the cooling device and comparing it with t3; (j) comparing a difference .DELTA.t3 between t3' and t3 with the reference values, and setting the variable A to one of the compensating values if t3' is less than t3, otherwise setting the variable A to T1.
