摘要： A method for mitigating general corrosion and crack initiation and growth on the surface of a metal components in a water-cooled nuclear reactor. A compound containing a non-noble metal such as zirconium or titanium is injected into the water of the reactor in the form of a solution or suspension. This compound decomposes under reactor thermal conditions to release ions or atoms of the non-noble metal which incorporate in the surfaces of the components, including the interior surfaces of any cracks formed therein. The preferred compounds are zirconium compounds such as zirconium acetylacetonate, zirconium nitrate and zirconyl nitrate. Zirconium incorporated in the oxided surface of a metal component will reduce the electrochemical corrosion potential at the surface to a level below the critical potential to protect against intergranular stress corrosion cracking without the addition of hydrogen.

摘要： A method for improving the performance and longevity of coatings of metal deposited from aqueous solutions of inorganic, organic or oraganometallic metal compounds. The method involves co-deposition of noble metal or corrosion-inhibiting non-noble metal during growth of oxide film on a component made of alloy, e.g., stainless steels and nickel-based alloys. The result is a metal-doped oxide film having a relatively longer life in the reactor operating environment. In particular, incorporation of palladium into the film provides greatly increased catalytic life as compared to palladium coatings which lie on the oxide surface.

摘要： An automatic service water tap is disclosed in which a battery operated motor is provided for controlling a water supply valve in response to the presence or absence of an object positioned within the range of an infrared generating and detecting system mounted in the tap. The valve operates using only a small amount of electric power under the control of a circuit which draws no electric power once the valve is moved to its opened or closed condition. Thus the consumption of the electric power is minimized to almost zero and the valve can be utilized for a long period of time only with a small single battery.

摘要： There is disclosed a method for the production of aliphatic copolyester film.The method comprises the steps of: applying esterification or ester-interchange to a reaction mixture of at least one acid component selected from the group consisting of succinic acid, succinic anhydride and succinic acid ester, 1,4-butanediol as a main diol component, 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol of 1 to 30% by mole based on the mole of the acid component, multifunctional compound 0.01 to 1% by mole, based on the mole of the acid component, multifunctional compound have more than three functional group of hydroxy group or carboxy group at below 220.degree. C., so as to give an oligomer mixture; polycondensing the oligomer into an aliphatic copolyester at a temperature of 240.degree. to 260.degree. C. under reduced pressures of not more than 1 mmHg in the presence of a catalyst; and melt-extruding the aliphatic copolyester using T die.Improved in draw ratio, the aliphatic copolyester film provided by the method can be applied to various applications, such as films, bottles, glass fiber-reinforced plastics, adhesives, paints.
