    • A reference voltage circuit includes a first amplifier configured to output a reference voltage, a second amplifier coupled to the first amplifier, an offset adjustment voltage generation circuit, a first load device and a first pn junction device, and second and third load devices and a second pn junction device. The offset adjustment voltage generation circuit is configured to generate a voltage which is input to the third and fourth input terminals of the second amplifier, and reduce an offset voltage between the first and second input terminals of the first amplifier through the second amplifier. The first input terminal is coupled to a coupling node of the first load device and the first pn junction device, and the second input terminal is coupled to a coupling node of the second load device and the third load device.

    • A catalyst deterioration determination device for determining deterioration of an exhaust gas purging catalyst arranged in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The determination device forcibly changes an air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture, calculates an oxygen occlusion amount of the catalyst based on an oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas at a downstream side of the catalyst that varies after the forcible changing of the air-fuel ratio, and performs deterioration determination on the catalyst based on the calculated oxygen occlusion amount. The engine includes a function for performing increasing correction on a fuel injection amount so that the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture becomes richer than the stoichometric air-fuel ratio. The determination device includes a prohibition unit which sets a prohibition period when calculating the oxygen occlusion amount after the increasing correction ends to prohibit calculation of the oxygen occlusion amount immediately after the increasing correction ends. The prohibition unit variably sets the prohibition period to be longer as a total increased amount of fuel during the increasing correction increases.

    • An image capturing system includes an image-capturing unit and a main unit, capable of serial communication therebetween. The main unit generates a first clock signal, converts data to be transmitted to the image-capturing unit into serial data using the first clock signal, and transmits the serial data to the image-capturing unit. The image-capturing unit detects a serial transfer frequency from the received serial signal, reproduces the first clock signal, generates a second clock signal from the reproduced first clock signal, converts a taken image into serial data using the second clock signal, and transmits this data to the main unit. The main unit then reproduces the second clock signal from the serial data transmitted from the image-capturing unit, and utilizes the second clock signal to generate the first clock signal, thereby synchronizing the image-capturing unit and the main unit.

    • An external storage device is connected to an image pickup apparatus provided with a first image storage medium capable of storing plural taken images and image display means, and adapted for backup of image information stored in the first image storage medium. The device includes a second image storage medium, a connection detecting unit, a reception unit, a transfer means, a conversion unit, and a second transfer unit.
