摘要： A positive electrode capable of achieving both of high volumetric energy density and high volumetric power density and a lithium ion secondary battery using the same are provided. A lithium ion secondary battery includes a positive electrode including a current collector with a positive active material mixture layer applied on both faces thereof, the positive active material mixture layer including active material particles, conductive additive particles and a binder. The active material particles used have a value D of an average particle diameter D50 of the active material particles in the range from 1 to 10 μm. The ratio b/a of the volume fraction b of the vacancy volume in the positive active material mixture layer to the volume fraction a of the active material particles in the positive active material mixture layer is in the range of −0.01D+0.57≦b/a≦−0.01D+0.97.

摘要： A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising amorphous carbon as a main agent of a negative electrode active material and having high energy density, less degradation of capacity during storage in a charged state, and excellent in cycle life characteristics is provided.The negative electrode active material comprises a mixture of easily graphitizable carbon, less graphitizable carbon, and graphite, the mixture comprising composite particles having a structure where less graphitizable carbon is deposited to the surface of particles of easily graphitizable carbon and graphite. Particularly, it is preferred that the ratio of the less graphitizable carbon content relative to the total weight of the mixture is from 0.5 to 7%, the ratio of graphite content relative to the total weight of the mixture is from 5 to 20% in which the less graphitizable carbon is present at the surface of particles of easily graphitizable carbon by a mechanochemical treatment.

摘要： A power system where energy generated at a deceleration time of a running vehicle such as an automobile can be accepted as regenerative energy sufficiently and safely is provided. In a power system 10, a non-aqueous solution system secondary battery group 1 where 10 to 11 lithium ion secondary battery cells are connected in series and an aqueous solution system secondary battery group 2 where 18 control valve type lead-acid battery cells are connected in series are connected in parallel. The battery capacity of the non-aqueous solution system secondary battery group 1 is smaller than that of the aqueous solution system secondary battery group 2. The non-aqueous solution system secondary battery group 1 and the aqueous solution system secondary battery group 2 are charged at a current value of 7C or less from a motor generator 3, and the ratio of the charged current value of the aqueous solution system secondary battery group 2 to the charged current value of the non-aqueous solution system secondary battery group 1 is 0.05 to 1.00.
