摘要： An automatic focal-point sensing apparatus includes a lighting optical system (14, 15) for illuminating a specimen. An objective optical system (5), which receives the optical image from the specimen, forms a first optical image at a position a specified distance apart from and before the expected image formation plane and a second optical image at a position a specified distance apart from and after the expected image formation plane. At least one image sensor (6) converts the first and second optical images from the objective optical system (5) into corresponding electric signals. A magnification sensor (8) detects the magnification of the objective (2). The CPU (10) calculates the contrast of each of the first and second optical images on the basis of the electric signals. Further, the CPU (10), when the magnification of the objective (2) is low, detects the in-focus point based on the difference in contrast between the first and second optical images. In contrast, when the magnification is high, it moves a portion of the objective (2) or the specimen in the direction of the optical axis, and detects the in-focus point based on changes in the contrast of one or both of the first and second optical images.

摘要： An optical-path switching apparatus for an optical microscope, which is simple structure, has a plurality of optical devices to be inserted and removed to and from at least two or more switching positions provided for optical paths so as to switch the optical paths. A drive force generator generates a drive force, and an insertion/removal device transmits the drive force generated by the drive force generator so as to insert and remove the plural optical devices to and from the switching positions while relating the plural optical devices to one another. A control unit controls switching of the optical devices to be performed by the insertion/removal device in order to obtain a required optical path.

摘要： An objective lens switching device of the present invention is a device in which assembly and adjustment in order to correctly position each objective lens on an optical axis are easy and a switching action can quickly be performed with certainty without receiving an influence of a mounting condition of objective lenses or a change in the revolver over time in use. A CPU reads an angular displacement from an angle sensor from a revolution position of a turret outside a detection range of an engagement sensor and issues a command of start braking to a driver when the angular displacement reaches a predetermined given angle. A revolution position of the turret at which the CPU starts the braking is correctly set all the time since the detection range of the engagement sensor and an engagement position of the turret are correctly adjusted.
