    • A battery module comprises a battery element and a storage unit configured to contain the battery element therein. The storage unit comprises an electrically conductive positive electrode-side plate and an electrically conductive negative electrode-side plate. The positive electrode-side plate and the negative electrode-side plate define a storage space to contain the battery element therein. The storage unit has a joint end provided on the periphery of the storage space and formed by joining an outer peripheral area of the positive electrode-side plate with an outer peripheral areal of the negative electrode-side plate across an insulating sheet placed between the two outer peripheral areas. The joint end comprises: a wind part formed by stacking and winding the two outer peripheral areas to be pressure-bonded to and joined with each other; and an outer peripheral frame body formed by insert molding using an insulating resin to surround the wind part.

    • An ink switching cam (40) is rotated interlockingly with forward/reverse rotation of a head driving motor at all times to swing a cassette support member (20). Accordingly, ink belts can be switched with a simple construction without using a solenoid or the like. By setting a movable area of the ink switching cam (40) to be within one rotation, the operations of a print head (10) and the ink switching cam (40) which are interlocked with the forward/reverse rotation of the head driving motor can be simply associated with each other.

    • An engine speed calculating apparatus capable of calculating an engine speed without being affected by pulsating revolutions in a low engine speed range. A time required for a crankshaft of an engine to revolve through a predetermined angle is measured upon each completion of revolution through the predetermined angle, and an engine speed is calculated on the basis of measured result data of the time required for revolution through the predetermined angle. When the preceding calculated engine speed is determined to be lower than a predetermined engine speed, an engine speed is calculated on the basis of a time required for the crankshaft to revolve through an angle larger than the predetermined angle.

    • A stroke identifying unit, for an electronic fuel injection control system of an engine, can identify cylinder strokes without detection of the rotation of the engine's camshaft. The stroke identifying unit includes a crank pulse generator for detecting a phase of a crankshaft of the engine. In a four cylinder engine, an intake pressure sensor detects the combined intake pressures in the second to fourth intake pipes, communicating with the second to fourth cylinders. A fuel injection control unit identifies strokes of the first to fourth cylinders on the basis of a relationship between the detected phase of the crankshaft and the detected intake pressures.

    • To provide an engine speed calculation apparatus which can facilitate calculation processing of the engine speed without being influenced by pulsation rotation in a low speed region of an engine. In a low speed region of an engine, a predetermined value is divided by a time required for rotation over an angle equal to a plurality of times of a predetermined angle to calculate the engine speed, but in a high speed region of the engine in which pulsation occurs less likely, the predetermined value is divided by the value equal to the plurality of times of the time required for rotation over the predetermined angle to calculate the engine speed.
