    • An electrical connector for electrically connecting a card to a printed circuit board comprises an insulative housing, a number of contacts and a pair of board locks received in the housing, and a pair of card ejector mechanisms pivotally mounted in opposite ends of the housing. The housing defines a slot which separates a middle section thereof into a first part and a second part. The first and second parts each define a number of cavities in which the contacts are received. The first and second parts each provides a number of projections extending beyond an inner wall thereof. The projections on the first part are spaced a distance equal to a thickness of a daughter card inserted in the slot from the projections on the second part. The projections on the first and second parts abut against opposite surfaces of the daughter card thereby securing the daughter card in the housing.

    • An electrical connector for connecting a memory module to a circuit board comprises an elongate housing, a number of contacts and an ejector. The housing includes an elongate body and a pair of arms extending from opposite ends of the body. The body includes a plurality of cavities formed in opposite side walls thereof and an elongate slot defined between the side walls in communication with the cavities for insertion of the memory module. The slot is slightly wider than the memory module. Each arm defines a channel in an inner surface thereof in communication with the slot of the body for guiding the memory module into the slot. A pair of elongate ribs project from inner surfaces of opposite side walls of each arm for abutting against the memory module thereby restricting movement of the memory module along a lateral direction. The contacts are received in the cavities of the housing and exposed to the slot of the housing for mating with the memory module. The ejector is secured to the housing for ejecting the memory module from the slot of the housing.

    • A battery holder (1) for receiving a coin cell (6) includes an insulative housing (2) and a first and a second contacts (4, 5) received in the insulative housing. The coin cell includes a positive pole (61) and a negative pole (62) with a smaller diameter than the positive pole thereby forming an annular receiving room (63) around the positive pole. The insulative housing includes a base plate (21), a bulge (22) and a number of chimbs (24) extending upwardly from the base plate and a protrusion (34) at a junction between the base plate and the bulge. The protrusion is mating with the receiving room around the positive pole for preventing the coin cell from reverse insertion.

    • A card edge connector in accordance with the present invention comprises an elongate housing defining a slot between opposite side walls thereof for receiving a daughter board therein, a plurality of contacts received in passageways defined in the side walls for electrically contacting golden fingers formed on opposite outer surfaces of a bottom edge of the daughter board, and a pair of ejectors mounted to opposite ends of the housing for positioning and ejecting the daughter board from the card edge connector. Each ejector comprises a body for engaging with the housing, a pair of clasps extending from an upper edge of the body for retaining a lateral edge of the daughter board, and a head portion for engaging within a notch defined in corresponding lateral edge of the daughter board. A thin rib downwardly extends from a bottom surface of the head portion for firmly abutting against a lower inner surface of the corresponding notch of the daughter board thereby preventing vertical movement of the daughter circuit board.

    • A mold for forming a dielectric housing for a card edge connector, wherein the housing has an elongated body defining a central slot for receiving a lower edge of a memory module. The elongated body has two lateral ends each formed with a tower for pivotably receiving an ejector for latching or ejecting the memory module received by the connector. A number of contact passageways are defined beside the slot for receiving a number of contacts therein for electrically engaging with golden fingers on the lower edge of the memory module. The mold has a gate located proximate to a lateral end face of one of the towers of the housing to be formed by the mold, and a number of core pins in the cavity for forming the contact passageways. The core pins located nearest to the gate have a cross section larger than that of the other core pins so that they are strong enough to withstand a fluctuation of a high pressure for injecting molten plastics into the mold.
