    • A planar light source and a backlight unit including the same are disclosed. The planar light source includes a light emission region formed by arrangements of light emitting devices. The light emission region includes first to nth separate parts each having a center of the light emission region as one vertex (n: natural number of 2 or higher). The first separate part includes light emitting devices arranged two-dimensionally in first and second directions. A pitch in the first direction is different from a pitch in the second direction in at least a portion of the two-dimensional arrangement structure. Light emitting devices of each of the second to nth separate parts have an arrangement structure obtained by a clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation of the arrangement structure of the light emitting devices of the first separate part by an angle of 1/n×360° about the center of the light emission region.

    • The present invention relates to a vapor heating type cooking apparatus cooking food materials using high pressure vapor as a heat source. A vapor heating type cooking apparatus includes: a vapor supply section generating the high pressure vapor; a vapor supply pipe and a vapor discharge pipe for introducing and discharging the high pressure vapor; a body section including a vapor introduction opening connected to the vapor supply pipe, an interior space having a dual structure so as to circulate the high pressure vapor in the caldron in which food materials are accommodated, a vapor discharge opening provided between the interior space and the vapor discharge pipe; a cooling water supply pipe and a hot water discharge pipe; a lid section including a cooling water introduction opening connected to the cooling water supply pipe, a storage space having a dual structure, in which the cooling water is temporarily stored, and a hot water discharge opening provided between the storage space and the hot water discharge pipe; and a control section for controlling introduction and discharge of the high pressure vapor, the cooling water, and the hot water.

    • A power supply device for an electromotive railcar is adapted to receive external current from an overhead electric line via a pantograph and to feed driving current of lower voltage than the external current to electric loads in the railcar through first and second current output lines. The power supply device is provided with a static inverter couplable to the overhead electric line through first and second input lines and capable of producing the driving current. A battery is connected to the static inverter in parallel with the loads for selectively charging the driving current and discharging the charged electric current to the loads. An anti-discharge switch is provided on the first current output line for selectively connecting and disconnecting the loads to and from the battery. A discharge controller coacts with the anti-discharge switch for allowing the anti-discharge switch to be closed when no external current is fed to the static inverter and for causing the anti-discharge switch to become open when the static inverter receives the external current from the overhead electric line. In addition, the power supply device includes an emergency switch manually operable and in cooperation with the discharge controller for causing the anti-discharge switch to be closed so that the electic current stored in the battery is fed to the loads at the time the static inverter delivers no driving current to the loads.
