    • A fluid sampling chamber assembly for noninvasive sensing of a fluid having a chamber with a sensor wall for acoustic coupling therewith, an apparatus for coupling a transducer of a transducer assembly with the sensor wall, a preapplied acoustic coupling agent and a relatively rigid connector member mounted to the chamber around the sensor wall with a portion around a probe access opening in retentive overlying relationship with the acoustic coupling agent to prevent run off of the coupling agent before use. A cover is releasibly attached to the connector for protectively covering the access opening and sensor location. The cover permits gaseous sterilization of the sensor wall because ribs carried by the releasible attaching means block the releasible attaching means from making a gaseous tight seal with the connector. Insertion of the sampling chamber into a sensor location of an electronic biological fluid monitoring apparatus is prevented by a member attached to the cover which is dimensioned to prevent, or block, receipt of the sampling chamber assembly within the sensor location if the protective cover is attached to the probe connector.

    • A front entry, flexible urinary collection bag with an inlet opening at a front wall thereof is connected with a fluid source through a rigid header attached to the flexible bag adjacent the inlet opening at the front of the bag and a fluid conductive connector held in coupling engagement by the header and having an elongate portion which makes fluid connection with the front of the bag through the inlet opening. A front entry urinary collection bag adapted for automated urinary output monitoring is made by attaching a relatively rigid header to the top of the bag, attaching the inlet coupler to the front of the bag adjacent the top, inserting a male fluid conductive connector into mating relationship with a female connector carried by the header at the top of the bag and coupling a downwardly extending portion of the male connector to the inlet coupler.

The system has a formed sheet of flexible material, with the sheet being of one-piece construction. The sheet has an elongated bar received in an upper portion of the receptacle, a first connecting portion extending from one side of the bar at a generally central location thereof, a first hinge extending across the sheet at an outer end of the first connecting portion, and a second elongated connecting portion extending from the first hinge on a side of the first hinge opposite the first connecting portion. The second connecting portion is flexed about the first hinge to align the first and second connecting portions in a facing relationship. The sheet has second and third hinges extending along opposed sides of the second connecting portion, and first and second hook members connected to the second and third hinges. The hook members have downwardly extending outer ends. The hook members are movable between a first position generally perpendicular to the receptacle to support the receptacle from an object, and a second position generally aligned with the receptacle with the outer ends of the hook members being located in front of the bar to form a handle to carry the receptacle.
