    • A system and method for detecting antenna coupling and for providing feedback cancellation in response to the antenna coupling includes a signal feedback cancellation circuit configured to be coupled between a signal receiver and a signal transmitter. The feedback cancellation circuit is responsive to received signals, amplified signals and the detection of signal coupling between a receiving antenna any transmitting antenna, for providing a feedback cancellation signal to a signal amplifier. The feedback cancellation circuit may employ time domain or frequency domain methods. In the case of a time domain method, the feedback cancellation circuit may further include a White noise generator which serves to the tune or adjust the feedback cancellation circuit.

    • In an exemplary apparatus implementation, an apparatus includes: at least one processor; and one or more media including processor-executable instructions that are capable of being executed by the at least one processor, the processor-executable instructions adapted to direct the apparatus to perform actions including: monitoring at least one signal characteristic for multiple signals that relate to a single source address; and detecting a wireless interloper if a discrepancy is determined to exist with regard to the monitored at least one signal characteristic for the multiple signals. In an exemplary access station implementation, an access station is capable of ascertaining at least one signal characteristic for multiple signals, is configured to detect a wireless interloper with regard to a particular address by analyzing the ascertained at least one signal characteristic for the multiple signals, and is adapted to counter the detected wireless interloper.

    • Methods, apparatuses and systems are provided for identifying at least one multipath transmission delay within a reverse path data signal, determining at least one forward path pre-equalization parameter based on the transmission delay, and modifying a forward path data signal based on the forward path pre-equalization parameter. A reverse link transmission is used to help characterize the multipath delays that may exist between communicating devices. The reverse path data signal can include a training sequence or other like known/substantially-known data that can be analyzed to detect transmission delays, especially delays that extend beyond established guard intervals. Such pre-equalization techniques can be advantageously combined, for example, with antenna arrangements that support transmission diversity, spatial division transmission, and/or other like techniques.
