摘要： A system for absorbing and redirecting impact including a plates assembly and a damping assembly is disclosed herein. The plates assembly includes a first plate being attached to a wall. The first plate and a second plate having a plurality of openings. The openings receive straps to tether the second plate to the first plate. The damping assembly includes a padding being attached to a front side of the second plate. A plurality of angled members are attached to a rear side of the second plate and to a front side of the first plate. The plurality of angled members receive shock absorbers therein. The damping assembly is configured to absorb and redirect impacts.

摘要： A comfortable way to daily remove inter-dental plaque would encourage dental hygiene and could improve health worldwide. The flossing by hand’ method is the most effect but its adoption is limited by the dexterity of the user especially among young and old people. Many efforts have been made to make flossing easier by extending floss from a device held outside the mouth, but most designs use a fixed, stretched, length of floss at the tooth. The method of use for these devices is dictated by the physical form of the device needed to mount the fixed stretched length of floss. But the goal of flossing devices is to emulate the ‘by hand’ method. This invention starts with the ‘by hand’ method and designs this device 1 to perform it. The “Loose Floss Method of Inter-dental Plaque Removal’ is strictly based on the ‘by hand’ method of flossing and provides a device 1 design exclusively to perform that method. closely without putting one's hands inside their mouth.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for the Transporting of Fibre Channel data over Ethernet are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, Fibre Channel data frame and primitive signals are transported over Ethernet instead of using the Fibre Channel FC-1 and FC-0 protocols. This allows less expensive Ethernet equipment and devices to transport and perform services for Fibre Channel connected devices without having a physical Fibre Channel interface. The ability to provide Fibre Channel services and functions without having a physical Fibre Channel interface allows existing Ethernet equipment to be placed into service as SAN components without modification.

摘要： A field joint for connecting a plurality of downhole tool modules is disclosed. The modules include a housing and an electrical line. A bulkhead is coupled to a first module that includes a first conduit aperture for receiving an electrical connector assembly. The first electrical connector assembly is releasably coupled to the exterior portion of the first module and includes a first connector having a first end adapted for electrical coupling to an electrical line. A connector block is coupled to the second module that includes a second conduit aperture positioned to substantially face the first conduit aperture when the first and second modules are joined. A second electrical connector is disposed in the second conduit aperture and is electrically coupled to an electrical line such that an electrical contact is established with a second end of the first connector when the first and second modules are joined.

摘要： Double handle knives and attachments to convert a knife to a double handle knife are described with secondary handles able to form an angle (a) between about 20 to 70 degrees between the long axis of the secondary handle and the long axis of the blade in a plane at about right angles to the blade. Embodiments describe fixed, rotatable, and indexable means for the angle of attachment of the secondary handle to the blade. Embodiments further describe reversible and permanent means of attachment. The placement of the secondary handle at the angle described allows for the optimal positioning of the hands for both controlling and assisting with the cutting of foods and other items.
