摘要： Systems and methods for generating suggestions based on group criteria. A device may act as a proxy for a group and scan information from other devices in the group. The proxy device may then transmit the scanned information to a remote resource. The remote resource may obtain preference information based on profile information, for devices that are determined to be registered with a service, and based on inquiry responses for unregistered devices. The preference information may be compiled into group criteria that may be employed in making one or more suggestions to the group. If the group selects one of the suggestions then the remote resource may make arrangements based on the selection. Otherwise, additional suggestions may be provided to the group. The remote resource may also monitor the group and continue to make suggestions accordingly.

An example method may include receiving, at a device, one or more signature measurements associated with an indoor environment. Additionally, the device may be associated with a user. The method may also include receiving, at the device, one or more motion tracking measurements to measure relative motion associated with the device and the user. Furthermore, the method may include associating the one or more signature measurements with one or more virtual landmarks identified within the indoor environment. The method may further include determining a location of the user based on the one or more signature measurements, the one or more motion tracking measurements, and the one or more virtual landmarks.

摘要： A method and apparatus for user activity-based dynamic power management and policy creation for mobile platforms are described. In one embodiment, the method includes the monitoring of one or more sensor values of a mobile platform device to gather sensor activity data. Once the sensor activity data is gathered, the user state may be predicted according to the gathered user activity and an updated user state model. In one embodiment, the user state model is updated according to the sensor activity data. In one embodiment, a switch occurs from the present power management policy to a new power management policy if the new user state differs from a present user state by a predetermined amount. In one embodiment, at least one time-out parameter of a selected power management policy may be adjusted to comply with a predicted user state. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

In one example, a remote server obtains the digitized message originating from a writing implement, wherein the digitized message includes an image of a handwritten signature and additional sensor information. In such a case, the server may conduct an authentication of the additional sensor information with respect to known sensor information associated with an authenticated user and send an authentication response to the writing implement based on the authentication.
