    • A pivoting lever has tongue-like movable pieces formed in a squared U-shape on both side faces of a cover member, and locking claws at intermediate parts of the movable piece. A pivoting lever is pivotally supported on a support pin of the cover member. Circular arc-shaped cam grooves are formed in a lever body part, and locking holes engaging locking claws are formed in the lever body part. When a mating housing is pressed into a housing and the lever is pivoted, the cam grooves drive a driven pin and pull the mating housing toward the housing. The lever contacts the locking claws, and pivots the locking claws while pushing them down. When the housings are joined, the locking claws returned to the original positions fitted into the locking holes, setting the lever to a locked state, thereby disabling further rotation and reverse rotation of the lever.

    • An electrical connector that is reduced in size by appropriately combining connection terminals and a connector housing. Terminal insertion openings (15) for terminal accommodating holes (14) are formed in the rear face of the connector housing (11). The terminal insertion openings (15) each have an elliptic cross-section, and the ellipses are arranged so as to be aligned in a specific direction. Oblong sections of connection sections, having a narrow width, of the connection terminals are inserted into the terminal accommodating holes (14), along the terminal insertion openings (15). The connection terminals are engaged with elastic case lances and connection sections provided in the terminal receiving holes and are fixed in position.

    • Herein disclosed is a heat resisting electrical connector assembly which has a heat resisting metallic locking clip. The locking clip is detachably fixed to a female part of the connector assembly and comprises a first portion lockably fixed to the female part, a second portion having a locking opening formed therein and a third portion having a free end, the third portion being resiliently moved together with the free end thereof toward the first portion when pressed toward the first portion. A male part of the connector assembly is formed with a projection with which the locking opening of the clip is engaged upon final coupling of the male and female parts. A fulcrum structure is formed on the female part to support partially the third portion of the clip in such a manner that when the third portion is pressed toward the first portion, the second portion is raised away from the first portion thereby disengaging the locking opening of the clip from the projection.
