摘要： A suture locking device includes a carrier member, a locking assembly, a suture path, and an actuator assembly. The locking assembly includes a first locking member having an outer surface portion, and a second locking member having an inner surface portion. The suture path is receptive of a suture and defined at least partially through the first locking member, between the outer and inner surface portions, and at least partially through the carrier member. The actuator assembly is operable to move the first and second locking members together to lock the suture relative to the lock assembly.

摘要： A vascular closure system includes a body portion, an anchor, a suture carrying portion, and a plurality of needles. The body portion has a distal end surface. The anchor is positionable through a vessel puncture in a vessel wall of a vessel. The anchor defines a vessel contact surface, wherein withdrawal of the anchor captures a portion of the vessel wall between the vessel contact surface and the distal end surface. The suture carrying portion is positionable through the vessel puncture and carries at least one suture member. The plurality of needles extend through the portion of the vessel wall adjacent to the vessel puncture and are configured to connect to the at least one suture member. Withdrawal of the plurality of needles through the portion of the vessel wall positions the at least one suture member through the portion of the vessel wall.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are disclosed for sealing a puncture or incision formed percutaneously in tissue separating two internal portions of the body of a living being with an anchor, a sealing plug and a filament connecting the anchor and sealing plug. The methods and apparatus provide for a compaction device or a tamping device that improves control of the amount of force exerted upon the sealing plug. Further, the compaction tube or tamping device can deform upon application of excessive compaction force, thereby reducing the possibility of damage to the sealing plug, anchor, or artery.

摘要： A closure device (200) includes a filament (204), an anchor (208), a sealing pad (210), and an automatic driving mechanism. The anchor is configured to be inserted through the tissue wall puncture and is attached to the filament at the second end of the closure device. The sealing pad is slidingly attached to the filament at the second end of the closure device. The automatic driving mechanism includes a compaction member (212), at least one slide member (230, 232) at the first end of the closure device, and a biasing member (234). The biasing member is carried by the at least one slide member and operable to distally advance the compaction member for automatically compacting the sealing pad toward the anchor upon withdrawal of the closure device from the internal tissue wall puncture.

摘要： A deployment device for bringing a sealing plug into position within a puncture tract or incision, and bringing an anchor into position adjacent a tissue puncture, is provided. The deployment device is designed to facilitate easier positioning of the sealing plug, wherein a separate tamping tool is not required. The sealing plug is held in place on the shaft of the anchor by a structure, for example, a knob or boss. The anchor, anchor shaft, and sealing plug may be made of various biocompatible resorbable materials such that the anchor may resorb very quickly, leaving the tissue or artery lumen clear, and the sealing plug may resorb more slowly, to assist in maintaining hemostasis. The deployment device may include a bypass device which maintains the anchor in either an extended or bent configuration. Further, the anchor may include at least one rib, to provide support to the anchor.
