摘要： A TV microcomputer (65) sends a channel switching demand command to a wireless center microcomputer (41), via an SS transmission/reception unit(61) and an SS transmission/reception unit (45) (101, 103, 105). Via the SS transmission/reception unit (45) and the SS transmission/reception unit (61), the wireless center microcomputer (41) returns, to the TV microcomputer (65), a response indicating that the command demanding the channel selection has been received (107, 111, 115). Subsequently, the wireless center microcomputer (41) performs a process demanded by the received channel switching demand (118), and sends, to the TV microcomputer (65), process completion information indicating that the process has been performed (121, 123, 125). Receiving the process completion information, a TV main body (5) performs muting of the screen for a certain period starting from the reception of the information, so as to hide the visual disturbance on account of the delay at the time of the channel switching.

The second SS-CPU (85) receives television program video data and EPG data from a wireless center (3). The second AV selector (67) generates video based on the television program video data. The TV microcomputer (66) generates EPG video based on the EPG data. The OSD synthesizing section (93a) superposes an EPG video image on a television broadcast video image displayed on a TV monitor (71). This improves a speed for responding to a user's input for instructing the EPG video image to be displayed, when the EPG video image is to be superposed on the television program video image.

摘要： A TV microcomputer makes a request to a wireless center microcomputer through a SS transmitting/receiving unit in a TV main unit and a SS transmitting/receiving unit in a wireless center, and the wireless center microcomputer sends a response for notifying reception of the request command to the TV microcomputer through the SS transmitting/receiving unit in the wireless center and the SS transmitting/receiving unit in the TV main unit. The TV microcomputer processes the received request for an auto scan, and transmits channel identification information for setting a channel, which includes skip information indicative of whether or not a station for the channel exists, to the TV microcomputer as a response for notifying completion of the process. The channel identification information is stored in the TV main unit. Further, when an up-down channel selection is performed, the channel identification information is referred to identify a selected channel, and the identified channel is transmitted to the wireless center as a direct channel selection command. This reduces a delay time involved in the exchange of commands.
