The volume displacing members are also equipped with one or more internal flow passages that facilitate a flow of a fluid through it. The volume displacing members are also adapted to cooperate with features of the devices that house them to form air-tight and liquid-tight seals that at least partially determine a fluid pathway through the devices.

In one embodiment, the needle tip protective device includes a needle guard slidably mounted on a hypodermic needle, the latter having a needle tip located at the distal end thereof, and a change of profile formed medially there along. The needle guard is movable along the hypodermic needle and engageable with the change in profile formed thereon. The engagement with the change in profile is configured to correspond with the ability of the needle trap to entrap the needle tip once the needle trap has advanced the sufficient distance distally along the hypodermic needle. In further refinements, the needle trap may be biased toward the distal needle tip of the needle.

The present invention acts as a container for food or beverages and once the food or beverage is consumed may be converted into an apparatus to enhance an applause or boo. One embodiment of the present invention is an apparatus for holding a beverage container. The apparatus for holding the beverage container has a top, a bottom, and at least two sidewall sections which may be selectively detached and assembled with matching components. The device may be selectively adjustable to accommodate containers of various sizes and shapes. By detaching the sidewall sections in at least one place the sidewall sections may be open and closed. The open and closing motion may be done such that when the sidewall sections are closed upon one another they hit to make an audible sound.

There is a torso-covering tube garment of a foldable material having a bottom portion covering the wearer's torso and fasteners for releasably holding the lower portion of the bottom portion against its upper portion to expose the wearer's torso for ventilating. In one version, the bottom portion folds over upon itself in thirds and exposes an outer surface of a bottom one third of the bottom portion when in the raised position and a message is on the outer surface of the bottom one third of the bottom portion whereby the message is visible when the bottom portion is in the raised position and the lowered position. In another version, the bottom portion is folded over upon itself in half and exposes an inner surface of a bottom one half of the bottom portion when in the raised position and the message is on the inner surface of the bottom one half of the bottom portion whereby the message is a hidden message only visible when the bottom portion is in the raised position.

摘要： This invention is a carpule-using syringe assembly having a needle protected to minimize the chance of accidental needle-stick. There is a carpule having a pierceable end and a syringe body for receiving and holding the carpule with the pierceable end adjacent an opening in an end portion of the syringe body. A cap is disposed over the pierceable end. The cap includes a support portion disposed in the opening. There are carpule-piercing portions for piercing the pierceable end of the carpule through the cap and a needle having a patient-piercing end. A retractable protective sleeve formed of a plurality of longitudinal slats is disposed over the patient-piercing end of the needle. Finally, there is provision for attaching the needle and the retractable protective sleeve in combination to the support portion with the needle in communication with an interior portion of the carpule through the carpule-piercing portions.
