摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, a developing unit configured to develop a latent image formed on the image bearer with a toner to form a toner image, and a transfer member including a contact area that comes in contact with the image bearer. The toner image is primary transferred from the image bearer to the transfer member. A speed difference between the image bearer and the transfer member at the contact area is 0.1% or greater but 0.8% or less. The toner has an average circularity of 0.971 or greater but 0.986 or less and a shape factor SF-2 of 110 or greater but 119 or less. The speed difference is represented by the following formula:
[Speed Difference] Speed difference[%]={V1−V2)/V2}×100 where V1 is a linear speed of the image bearer, and V2 is a linear speed of the transfer member.

摘要： A method for producing resin particles, including ejecting a liquid containing at least a resin in the form of droplets from a droplet ejecting unit having a plurality of holes provided in a part of a flow channel for feeding the liquid containing at least a resin, and drying and solidifying the ejected droplets so as to obtain the resin particles, while the ejected droplets are transported by a primary transport air flow flowing in the direction in which the droplets are ejected, wherein the ejected droplets are further transported by a secondary transport air flow which transports the ejected droplets in a different direction from a direction in which the primary transport air flow flows, and wherein a smaller angle of angles formed between a velocity vector of the primary transport air flow and a velocity vector of the secondary transport air flow is less than 120 degrees.

摘要： An image forming apparatus has a memory, an image forming unit, an intermediate transfer member, a density detector, a background density measurer, a test patch controlling unit and a density correcting unit. The density detector detects the density of the intermediate transfer member. The background density measurer stores background density, in the memory in correspondence with position information on the intermediate transfer member at a predetermined timing before a calibration for adjusting image formation density. The test patch controlling unit causes the image forming unit to form a test patch, on the intermediate transfer member while the intermediate transfer member is driven at a predetermined speed. The density correcting unit executes the calibration to adjust image formation density according to a difference between the background density stored in the memory when executing the calibration and corresponding to the position and density of the test patch.
