    • Heavy gauge plate steel is formed into a weld-completed hollow cylinder which is longer than the desired length of one finished press enclosure part but shorter than the combined lengths of two such parts. Four 90* displaced longitudinal separation slots are cut in a central region of the cylinder. Thereafter two pairs of displaced circumferential separation slots are cut at the ends of the longitudinal slots to divide the cylinder into two identical segments, each comprising an annular end portion and two opposed, longitudinally extending arcuate portions. Each of the two segments provides the lateral enclosure structure for a heavy duty hydraulic press.

    • An array of semiconductor devices in a monolithic wafer having a reference mark thereon is incrementally probed and tested for generating coded test data signals representing the characteristics of each device and coded position data signals defining the XY coordinates of the tested device with respect to the reference mark. The coded test data signals and the coded position data signals are recorded on a magnetic tape. Thereafter, the tested wafer is mounted on a pressure-sensitive adhesive web, scored and the individual devices are separated while maintaining their original orientation. The magnetic tape and wafer are then placed in a die transfer system and selected die types define by the test data and located by the position data are removed from the wafer by means of a cooperating and reciprocating vacuum collet and needle mechanism and are deposited at selected stations.

    • The broad principle upon which the invention is based is to employ a vertical speed indicator having an element movable in accordance with vertical speed of the carrying aircraft, and a director index movable in accordance with the vertical speed command signal derived from a glide slope deviation signal, the aircraft being manipulated so that the movable element will track the director index; the glide slope deviation signal may be the output of a conventional glide slope receiver or the deviation may be determined by a ground based radar system, the deviation being transmitted to the aircraft by radio.     • An improved iso-phase line-of-position navigation system for determining the position of a mobile station is disclosed which includes first and second transmitting base stations at respectively fixed locations and a third transmitting station positioned at a movable location. A mobile station is disclosed which includes a receiver for receiving signals from the two base stations and from the third station and means responsive to the signals received at the receiver for determining the position of the mobile station along first and second iso-phase lines-ofposition relative to the first and second base stations and the third station.
