摘要： A pair of electronic devices connected through a communication cable serve as a sending device and a receiving device, respectively. The electronic device on the sending device includes a generator for generating a control signal. The control signal operates to turn on a power supply of the electronic device on the receiving side when the power supply of the electronic device on the sending side is turned on or to turn off the electronic device on the receiving side when the electronic device on the sending side is turned off. The control unit is included in the electronic device on the receiving side. In response to the control signal given from the generator, the control unit operates the power supply of the electronic device on the receiving side.

摘要： The invention provides a calculator wherein it is possible to start an operation on the basis of an inputted formula and successively know the progress processes of operation until an operation result is obtained. An inputted formula edited on the basis of the data inputted from a keyboard is once displayed and the calculator is placed in the state of waiting for key entry. Then, when a Enter key is pressed down, only the operator codes selected among plural operator codes in the inputted formula in accordance with the priority order of operation are processed and a process formula as the result of the processing is displayed. Thereafter, every time the Enter key is pressed down, the operation is executed in accordance with the priority order and the process formulas obtained in the respective operations are successively displayed. Accordingly, the user of the calculator can successively recognize the respective intermediate processes as process formulas as well as the operation result of the inputted formula.

The processed result appears on the display section and is sent to the display device through the communication section. The display device includes a second communication section, a second storage section, a second processing section, and a second display section. The input key codes and the application is sent from the main body to the display device through the second communication section. The application is stored in the second storage section. The processing section processes the input key codes based on the application. The processed result is displayed on the second display section.
