    • Techniques for reducing commit latency in a database system having a primary database system and a standby database system that is receiving a stream of redo data items from the primary. The standby sends an acknowledgment for a received item of redo data before the standby writes the redo data item to a redo log for the stream. When a no more redo event occurs in the standby, the standby sets a “no data lost flag” in the redo log if the stream of redo data items has no gaps and all of the redo data items received in the standby have been written to the redo log. The database system may operate in a first mode in which an acknowledgment is sent as just described and a second mode in which an acknowledgment is sent after the redo data item has been written to the redo log.

    • Data elements denoting military and federal systems, platforms and units symbolically as derived from structured military message codes (field unit identifiers, field unit designators) that correlate directly to geospatial symbology as processed by commercial forms engines with underlying message parsing processes provide the capability to display situational understanding information/symbols (1) vice a geographic area of interest shown as basic geometric shapes as in the Common Alert Protocol CAP final release dated 1 Apr. 2004. TCP/IP's universally available heartbeat mechanisms provide a common and consistent send to/get from plus timing/trigger functions for data harvesting and distribution (2). Modifying the CAP or creating child domain specific schemas provide the basis of a international 911 service available on a subscription basis say to neighborhood watch programs and the like that are equipped with GPS smart phones, handhelds, laptops and like devices (3). See attached diagram depicting as a whole, SAW Concepts previous two method patent applications (1), (2) with this application (3) entitled Heartbeat 911.

    • A scaffold tray and tool case for holding and storing tools upon a scaffold. The tray surface includes openings of various sizes to accommodate tools. The tray surface has raised walls to prevent unsecured tools from rolling off of the tray surface. The tray surface includes rung cutouts and cutout fasteners to secure the tray to the rung. The rear support leg includes tool, storage and tool straps to secure tools to the interior of the rear support leg. The tray surface is immobilized and connected to the roar support legs via fasteners. A folding support connects the tray surface and support leg to facilitate folding and storage of the scat fold tray and tool case. The rear leg includes rung strap openings to secure the device to the scaffold. There are carrying straps on the front side wail and rear support leg to facilitate carrying and opening the folded device.

    • A tray and tool case that is hung from the rungs of a ladder or scaffold or closed and carried with tools inside. User may safely and securely store tools on or within the device while engaged in construction projects without climbing off a ladder or scaffold. The device consists of a tray surface with tool openings and rear support leg with tool openings and tool straps, connected to each other with secure fasteners and folding fasteners with locking pins. Three side walls of the tray surface are raised to prevent loss of tools. The device is secured in an open position with secure fasteners like screws, folding fasteners, and locking pins. The closed case is secured with push pin locks after the folding fasteners are folded down but may be opened when the push pink locks are disengaged and the curved opening is used to pull the device open.
