    • A multipack carrier for packaging containers is an apparatus that is used to hold, bundle, and transport packaging containers together. The packaging containers is any kind of bottle, can, or jar that is used to store consumer goods. The apparatus comprises of a plurality of plastic braces, a paper board carrier, a grasping mechanism, and a printed graphic. The plastic braces allows the apparatus to clutch each individual packing containers, and the paper board carrier allows the apparatus to simultaneous support all of the plastic braces. In the preferred embodiment, the plastic braces are created by injecting recyclable resin into a plastic injection mold and onto the paper board carrier. The printed graphic can be illustrated on the apparatus because of the material of the paper board carrier. The grasping mechanism allows a person to pick up and carry the apparatus with the packing containers.

    • A coolant delivery device (100) comprises a coolant outlet (124) and an exhaust (140, 160). The coolant outlet (124) is contained within a housing (150) that has an opening provided with sealing means (180), to which opening the coolant outlet (124) is arranged to direct a coolant. In use of the device, coolant is delivered to a surface to be cooled, and the coolant vaporises at the surface so as to produce coolant gas. Since the sealing means (180), in use of the device, form a seal between the housing (150) and the surface, the coolant gas is constrained to escape the device through the exhaust (140, 160), and does not disturb or disrupt the ambient environment. The device is particularly useful for applying thermal tensioning to welds through the delivery of a cryogenic spray to a weld line.

    • A hybrid preamplifier with a vacuum tube input stage driving a JFET output stage dubbed TIJO (for Tube Input JFET Output) that uses zero feedback circuitry and a common low voltage B+ power supply. A single output low voltage transformer provides all necessary voltages including the filament voltage. No attempt is made to minimize distortion or maximize bandwidth by adding feedback. The vacuum tube is mounted externally to allow easy tube swapping for varying the gain and tonal palette, with no dangerous high voltages present.

    • A method for controlling a chill roll system in a web printing press includes calculating, based on a web inlet temperature of a web entering a first chill roll of the chill roll system, a dew point temperature of an ink solvent vapor of ink printed on the web is calculated. The inlet coolant temperature of coolant entering the first chill roll is set to temperature value near the calculated dew point temperature. Using a heat transfer model, the flow rate of the coolant through the first chill roll needed to maintain a temperature rise of the coolant through the first chill roll below a predetermined value is determined. The method prevents post-chill marking by sufficiently cooling the web, and sets chill roll temperature profiles to avoid solvent condensation on chill roll surfaces and thereby avoid condensate marking.
