摘要： This invention discloses method and system for supporting posting (sharing) or un-posting (stop sharing) files, folders, and messages through utilizing private and group common workspaces. The stop sharing file or folder will not delete actual file or folder that contradicted to and enhanced for the then-existed technology for the file and folder sharing. The un-post message operation facilitates a user to remove (delete or withdraw or stop sharing) his/her previously posted message from viewing of a recipient such as from a user interface (UI) of the recipient, so that the user can avoid embarrassment if the message was not proper. Thus, the un-post the posted message has also enhanced the then-existing technology with better user experiences for message sharing.

摘要： The use of the hierarchical list for displaying and operating resources of computing system by industry for very long time because of its easy for user access resources, such as the use of Microsoft's Window Explore for operating files and folders of a file system. However, the traditional use of the hierarchical list is directly using metadata of a resource structure, for example by using metadata of a file system. Therefore, upon remote access, for each user's access, the metadata must be recalculated from the file system itself that results tremendous demanding for computing power and increased response time to client device across a network. Therefore, the traditional use of hierarchical list such as Windows Explore can not be directly use across the Internet. This invention has overcome this problem by creating and updating a multi-layered hierarchical list in memory for eliminating the needs to re-calculating the metadata directly from a resource structure. Thus, it reduces the demanding for the computer power and also reduces demand for network bandwidth that occurred in traditional remote access of NFS and SMB. In addition, this solves the problems of traditional web based remote access product such as Yahoo Briefcase that can support many critical operations because it only can be operated one level for a document structure due to it only can display two levels at any time.

摘要： Exchanging and sharing files, folders and messages has become people's daily life. However, traditional file sharing method provided by server computer does not provide a user to a effective way for stop sharing a file because the only way to stop sharing the file is to physically delete the file. Therefore, the user can not share the file again to other users in person or in group unless the file is expensively to be recreated. Additionally, traditional email system does not provide user to stop or withdraw a posted email message even if the content of the message is wrong or inappropriate. The same is true for traditional instant message which also does not provide user to stop sharing or withdraw a posted message. This invention comprises method and apparatus for overcoming the problems manifested in the traditional system for sharing file and message by providing user with ability of instantly sharing or stop sharing files or folders without physically deleting the files or folder and also providing user with ability of instantly stop sharing or withdrawing a posted message and with more useful function for the sharing of file, folder or message.

摘要： Support of end-user to view and operate computing resources through logically organized and graphically represented multi-layered item list (“hierarchical list”) has been fully realized on native window based computer user work environment with modern operating system such as Windows Explore of Microsoft. The present invention has implemented such a hierarchical list to represent structured resources, such as for folder structure, which to be displayable and operable via a browser on an end-user device. The implementation of the hierarchical list is accomplished by creating the hierarchical list in memory to mirror the actual folder structure, where the mirrored hierarchical list is sent to the end-user device, where the end-user device executes the browser to display the hierarchical list to allow the user via the displayed hierarchical list to request access, manage, and share the actual folder structure.
