摘要： A method for reducing the scanning time of SPECT broadly includes determining a physical characteristic of an object within a radiation field, calculating an optimal starting angle of at least two detectors based on the physical characteristic of the object and a trajectory of the at least two detectors such that the geometric efficiency of the detectors along the trajectory can be maximized, angularly displacing the detectors based on the calculated optimal starting angle, scanning the object within the field to detect one or more gamma photons emanating from the object, and preparing an image from the one or more detected gamma photons. Preferably, the physical characteristic of the object is its location within the field, but can include properties such as signal to noise ratio, shape of the object, etc.

摘要： A system and method provide for more accurate SPECT/CT image registration. CT data is utilized to establish a global spatial coordinate system of a common test phantom. The common test phantom is then used to obtain a set of point source nuclear images. Three-dimensional CT point source data is mapped to a two-dimensional image plane of corresponding point source data, to obtain a pair of intersecting projection cones that are used to obtain a set of detector head position correction parameters to correct detector head positioning in the CT coordinate system when obtaining SPECT projection images of the same object.

摘要： A low refractive index composition that forms a low refractive index layer on an optical display is formed having a co-crosslinked interpenetrating polymer network of a fluoropolymer phase and an acrylate phase. The fluoropolymer phase is preferably formed from fluoropolymers based on THV or FKM and having either a degree of unsaturation and/or containing a reactive cure site monomer in its polymer backbone. The acrylate phase includes a multifunctional acrylate crosslinker, and more preferably includes a perfluoropolyether acrylate crosslinker. The formed low refractive index layer has improved interfacial adhesion to other layers or substrates contained in the optical display. Further, the mechanical strength and scratch resistance of the either of above low refractive index compositions can be further enhanced through the incorporation of surface functionalized inorganic particle into the formed layer.

摘要： A method for simultaneous CT and SPECT imaging in which CT data is acquired during each SPECT data acquisition window. SPECT scanning requires several seconds or minutes of gamma detection at each of several angular positions. CT scanning requires short duration X-ray pulses at each of several angular positions. In the present invention, the X-rays pulses are timed to occur at approximately a midpoint of time of each SPECT gamma detection period. Preferably, the SPECT gamma detection is disabled during each X-ray pulse. Consequently, there is improved position registration between CT and SPECT data. Also included is an embodiment in which SPECT data is collected synchronously with a patient's breathing. Accurate registration between CT images and SPECT images is provided.
