The dispenser includes a first section of ice discharge duct that receives ice supplied from an ice supplier, a second section of ice discharge duct that receives the ice guided by the first section, and a third section of ice discharge duct that receives the ice guided by the second section. The third section guides the ice through an outlet positioned in front of a surface of a door of the refrigerator. The dispenser also includes a first coupling mechanism located at the second section and a second coupling mechanism located at the third section. The first and second coupling mechanisms are configured to engage and disengage with each other to enable removal of the third section from the second section and attachment of the third section to the second section.

摘要： An ice maker, a refrigerator including the ice maker, and an ice making method are provided. The ice maker includes a tray having a predetermined depth into which water is supplied to make ice. The ice maker includes an elevating unit to elevate a portion of the ice, and a cutting unit to cut off the elevated portion of the ice to be dispensed as ice pieces to a user. The ice maker has a slim configuration, and a compact size. The ice maker may be provided in the door of the refrigerator at a height approximately the same as the height of the dispenser located at the front side of the door. This arrangement permits a path for supplying cool air from a freezing compartment to the ice maker to be decreased.

摘要： There is provided a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a storage space receiving food, a door, and a dispensing apparatus. The door selectively opens and closes the storage space. The dispensing apparatus dispenses contents stored in the storage space without opening the door. The dispensing apparatus substantially protrudes from an outer surface of the door. According to the refrigerator, since the internal structure of the door is simplified, fabrication of the refrigerator becomes easy. In addition, the internal space of the refrigerator is enlarged and a user can use a container of various sizes and shapes. Furthermore, the thickness of the door is prevented from becoming thin, thereby reducing a heat loss in the refrigerator.
