    • An indicating circuit for an FM stereophonic signal receiver for providing dual indications of tuning and channel balance. The indicating circuit is comprised of a tuning detecting circuit for providing a first signal admitting of a magnitude and polarity which represents the relative tuning condition of the FM receiver with respect to a received FM signal. The indicating circuit further includes respective channel level detecting circuits for providing respective signals admitting of magnitudes that represent the levels of the audio signals transmitted through the respective stereophonic signal channels of the receiver. A signal indicating meter provides indications representing the magnitudes and polarities of signals applied thereto and a switching circuit selectively supplies the output of the tuning detecting circuit or the outputs of the channel level detecting circuits to the indicating meter, whereby the relative tuning condition of the receiver as well as the channel balance of the receiver is selectively indicated.

    • A melt filling pressure difference control method controls a pressure difference used to supply melt from a holding furnace to a cavity of a casting machine by generating a pressure difference between an interior space of holding furnace and the cavity formed inside the mold. The method includes the steps of setting up a program pattern comprising time-varying characteristics of pressure difference target values, controlling the pressure difference so as to follow the program pattern that was set up, detecting whether the melt surface has risen to a predetermined level inside the cavity, compensating the program pattern based on the melt surface level when the melt surface has risen to a predetermined level inside cavity, and controlling the pressure difference between space inside the holding furnace and the cavity so as to follow the compensated program pattern.

    • A method for transporting particles such as polyolefin particles from a first container to a second container. The particles are transported from the first container to the second container through a transportation pipe by means of a pressure difference between the first container and the second container. A valve is provided in the transportation pipe near the second container, and the valve is closed and opened to transmit particles intermittently. Cleaning gas is fed into the transportation pipe at a position on the inlet side near the valve. The cleaning gas is gas consisting essentially of olefin monomer. The cleaning gas is fed into the transportation pipe while the valve of the transportation pipe is closed, and the particles remaining in the transportation pipe are sent back to the first container thereby to clean the transportation pipe. Therefore, the inside of the transportation pipe is kept clean all the time.
