    • An eyeglass frame having selectively interchangeable temples has a conventional frame front, combined with specially-designed hinges and the temples. Each temple has a longitudinal cavity of generally rectangular cross section, at the hinge end thereof, that is in communication with a rectangular aperture that opens to the inner surface of the temple. Each temple is attached to a frame front end piece via an interconnection clip having a single loop that is sandwiched between two loops that are unitary with the frame front, and with the three loops being held together with a pivot screw, thereby forming a butt hinge. Each interconnection clip incorporates a single-barb spring clip that slides into the longitudinal cavity of a temple. The barb locks against a forward edge of the rectangular aperture. By depressing the barb with a finger, the temple and the interconnection clip can be pulled apart.

    • A frac head apparatus has a body with an internal bore extending therethrough, a first flow bore formed through the body so as to have an inner end opening to the internal bore of the body and an outer end opening to an outer side of the body, and a second flow bore formed through the body so as to have an inner end opening to the internal bore of the body and an outer end opening at an outer side of the body. The inner end of the first and second flow bores are positioned at different levels within the body. Each of the first and second flow bores has a longitudinal axis offset from and not intersecting a longitudinal axis of the internal bore of the body such that a fluid flow through the flow bores is directed toward a wall of the internal bore offset from an opposite side of the wall of the internal bore from the inner ends of the flow bores.

    • A passive remote control device (20, 50) is powered remotely by a radio frequency exciter/receiver (14, 42) and used in a remote control system (100, 200) to control operation of a controlled device (10, 40), such as, for example, a television, video game controller, VCR, or CD player. The remote control device and the exciter/receiver communicate without wires via electrostatic or electromagnetic radiation. No line of sight connection to the passive remote control unit is required. No power source is integrated with the remote control device. The remote control device has a plurality of keys (22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32) or control members that are manually actuated. Depression of a key or button, or other actuation of a control member, causes a response signal associated with that key to be generated. The response signal relates to an operation for the controlled device.
