    • Disclosed is a diffractive micromirror and a method of producing the same. More particularly, the present invention pertains to a diffractive thin-film piezoelectric micromirror, which is operated in a piezoelectric operation manner to assure excellent displacement, operation speed, reliability, linearity, and low voltage operation, and a method of producing the same. The diffractive thin-film piezoelectric micromirror includes a silicon substrate on which a recess is formed to provide an air space to the center thereof, and a piezoelectric mirror layer having a band shape, which is attached to the silicon substrate along both ends of the recess at both ends thereof while being spaced from the bottom of the recess at a center portion thereof and which includes a thin-film piezoelectric material layer to be vertically movable when voltage is applied to the piezoelectric material layer, and thus diffracts an incident light beam.

    • Disclosed herein is a color display apparatus using a one-panel diffractive-type optical modulator. The color display apparatus includes a plurality of light sources, an illumination lens system, a diffractive-type optical modulator, a filter system, and a projection system. The light sources simultaneously emit the light beams of corresponding wavelengths. The illumination lens system allows respective light beams to be converted into linear parallel light. The diffractive-type optical modulator forms diffractive light by diffracting incident light when the locations of at least two neighboring reflection parts vary to a predetermined distance by an actuating means. The filter system allows diffractive light having a desired diffractive order for respective wavelengths to pass therethrough when diffractive light having a plurality of diffractive orders for the respective wavelengths enters from the diffractive-type optical modulator. The projection system generates an image on a target object by scanning diffractive light filtered by the filter system on the target object.

    • Disclosed herein is a light modulator type multi-beam scanning apparatus using a dichroic slit. The scanning apparatus includes a first lens unit, a plurality of light modulators, a focusing unit, a second lens unit and a third lens unit. The first lens unit converts a plurality of beams of light into collimated beams, respectively, and outputs the collimated beams. The light modulators modulate the collimated beams into diffracted beams having a plurality of diffraction orders. The focusing unit forms a multi-diffracted beam by focusing the diffracted beams having the plurality of diffraction orders. The second lens unit separates the multi-diffracted beam into separate diffracted beams according to diffraction orders. The dichroic slit selectively transmits some of the separate diffracted beams having one or more predetermined diffraction orders. The third lens unit projects the sum of the separate beams onto an object.
