    • A boost-up power factor correcting circuit using a power feed back capable of stably supplying the power source to the load by correcting a power factor, so that the power is fed-back in a high-frequency current using an auxiliary winding to be included in an SMPS transformer. The circuit includes a rectifying section for rectifying an inputted AC voltage, an inductor transformer, having a first inductor winding connected to the rectifying section and a second inductor winding, for accumulating a magnetic energy, an SMPS transformer having a primary winding connected to the first inductor winding of the inductor transformer and an auxiliary winding connected to the second inductor winding of the inductor transformer, the auxiliary winding generating a voltage having a phase opposite to that of a voltage applied to the primary winding, a power feedback section connecting in a closed loop the auxiliary winding of the SMPS transformer and the second inductor winding, for feedingback the magnetic energy accumulated at the auxiliary winding, and a switching control section connected to the primary winding of the SMPS transformer, for controlling the switching operation of the SMPS transformer.

    • An apparatus for controlling a switching frequency of a switching mode power supply (SMPS) for a video display appliance which can remove a switching noise generated during the switching-on and switching-off operations of an SMPS transformer by controlling the switching frequency of the SMPS transformer so that the duty of the SMPS transformer is kept in a predetermined range. The apparatus includes a flyback transformer for converting the voltage outputted from the SMPS transformer into a high voltage in accordance with a horizontal sync signal inputted thereto, a control section for outputting a control signal in accordance with the horizontal sync signal, a dividing section for dividing the horizontal sync signal in accordance with the control signal, a pulse transformer for outputting a predetermined pulse signal in accordance with an output pulse signal of the dividing section, a differentiation section for differentiating the pulse signal outputted from the pulse transformer to eliminate a negative pulse component of the pulse signal, a sawtooth sync generating section for generating a sawtooth sync signal by performing a switching operation in accordance with an output signal of the differentiation section, and a switching control section for outputting the switching frequency for a switching operation of the SMPS transformer in accordance with the sawtooth sync signal.

    • An output voltage stabilizing circuit of a power factor correction circuit, which initially stabilizes an output voltage of a power factor correction circuit by controlling an on/off timing of a reference oscillating waveform which varies in response to an error voltage in accordance with a charge/discharge voltage outputted from a soft start circuit section. The output voltage stabilizing circuit includes a flyback transformer (FBT) connected to a secondary winding of an output transformer for applying a high voltage and outputting a sync signal, a first control driving section for outputting a switching control signal of the FBT, a soft start circuit for charging or discharging according to a first output of the SMPS transformer, a switching section for controlling the operation of charging or discharging of the soft start circuit in response to the sync signal of the FBT, an error amplifier for amplifying the output voltage of the power factor correction circuit section according to the switching operation of the switching section, comparing section for comparing an output voltage of the error amplifier with the initial output voltage of the power factor correction circuit section and outputting a voltage as a result of comparison, and a second control driving section for controlling a duty ratio to stabilize the initial output voltage of the power factor correction circuit section according to the output voltage of the comparing section.
