摘要： A guide roller apparatus has entry guide and an upper guide provided at an entrance side of an advancing path for a workpiece material to be rolled, and side rollers, upper and lower guide rollers and further tip end chips downward thereof are sequentially provided. The the workpiece is guided into grooves of rolling rollers of a rolling mill without force by the guide roller apparatus. The guide roller apparatus guides the workpiece material having a width larger than that of a caliber of the rolling roll without rolling flaw or torsion occurring in the material to be rolled.

摘要： A positioning control device having a moving body engaged with a screw shaft to be moved with the rotation of the screw shaft, and a rest bar for fixing the moving body having two long positioning retainers extending in the axial direction of the screw shaft makes it possible to securely hold a guide apparatus for rolling stock. The moving body is provided on its upper portion with a shift base for mounting the guide apparatus thereon, and on its lower portion with a shift bracket. A pair of hydraulic cylinders piercing through the shift bracket are opposed to each other across the screw shaft. A piston rod in each hydraulic cylinder is movable vertically so as to come into contact with the lower surface of the retaining portion of the rest bar. Both positioning retainers are secured on the retaining portion of the rest bar and disposed opposite to each other across the piston rods and the retaining portion of the rest bar so as to come into contact with the contact members of the shift base.

摘要： A four-roller type sizing mill apparatus for forming round steel rods, comprises two four-roller mills each having two pair of facing rollers. One pair of facing rollers is arranged in rolling direction perpendicular to the rolling direction of the other pair of rollers. The two four-roller mills are arranged in line, with the rolling direction of one of the two four-roller mills being shifted by 45.degree. from the rolling direction of the other four-roller mill. The two pair of rollers of a first four-roller mill positioned closer to the rolling material inlet are separated from each other by a distance which is greater than zero and not greater than five times the projected contact length of one of the pair of rollers positioned closer to the rolling material inlet. The distance is measured between a first standard straight line which passes through the centers of one of the pair of rollers and lies on a plane parallel to the side surfaces of the same pair of rollers and a second standard straight line obtained by projecting the axes of the other pair of rollers onto the above-mentioned plane.

摘要： In a roller guide apparatus for guiding a steel material to be rolled into a rolling mill machine, a ratio (K/M) of an elastic constant (K [N/mm]) of the roller guide portion of a roller guide apparatus to a gradient (M [N/mm]) in a plasticity characteristic curve obtained when pressing the steel material nipped between the guide rollers in rolling is determined to be 0.5 or more, to thereby prevent the steel material from tilting between the guide rollers. As a result, dimensional accuracy in sectional shape and size of an end product can be improved, and miss-rolling can be prevented, thus producing high-quality rolled steel products without surface defects with remarkably high yield rate and productivity.
