摘要： A pallet valve for use in a pipe organ windchest for controlling the flow of air under pressure through an oblong opening in the windchest. The pallet valve comprises an elongated, generally flat, metallic body considerably longer than the opening and pivotally movable at one end about an axis substantially removed from the opening. A pair of laterally spaced, parallel flanges, coextensive with the valve body, depend from one face of the body and serve to reinforce and stiffen it. The other face of the body is provided with a cushion engageable with the area surrounding the opening for sealing the same.
