    • There are included an image decoder (10) for decoding encoded image data; a processor (11) for performing both a partial decoding of encoded image data and a control of the image decoder (10); an internal command memory (12) for storing programs to be executed by the processor (11); an external command memory (13) for storing all of programs to be transferred to a RAM area of the processor (11); and a frame memory (14) for storing decoded data outputted from the image decoder (10). The programs used for decoding the encoded image data are divided into functional module units. While the programs are interchanged from the external command memory (13) to the internal command memory (12) for each of predetermined command memory transfer unit during reproduction, the encoded image data is decoded.

    • A jaw denture is provided which is capable of being attached and detached easily without pain during daily oral care. An obturator appliance is put on the mucosa side of a denture base. The obturator appliance is made into a sealed bag by using an expandable, shrinkable material that is detachably put at a reception part on the mucosa side of the denture base. An injection valve is attached to the obturator appliance to inject air inside and hold air therein. The portion projecting from the reception part of the obturator appliance is expanded in a three dimensional shape of the lost space to fill the lost space inside the bone loss portion. The air in the obturator appliance is discharged to shrink the obturator appliance and it can be taken out from the lost space. This makes it possible to clean the obturator appliance and the denture base completely.

    • A method for encoding a picture based on an intra-picture coding and an inter-picture prediction coding having an absolute value of a maximum range of motion compensation between continuous pictures in terms of time being H pixels (H: a positive integer) in a first direction and V pixels (V: a positive integer) in a second direction, the method includes the steps of: receiving a picture and judging whether the picture is directly/indirectly referred to by a further picture among the continuous pictures in terms of time or not; determining a maximum distance L (L: a positive integer) between the picture and the further picture directly/indirectly referring to the picture; dividing the picture into a first to an Nth sub-pictures (N: an integer equal to or larger than 2), a size of the first to the Nth sub-pictures being larger by at least L.times.V pixels in the first direction or at least L.times.H pixels in the second direction as compared with a region of a case where the picture is equally divided into N regions which do not overlap each other; generating a first to an Nth code sequences corresponding to the respective first to the Nth sub-pictures by encoding the first to the Nth sub-pictures based on the intra-picture coding and the inter-picture prediction coding; and adding information indicating positions of the first to the Nth code sequences in the picture.
