摘要： A pill splitter that cuts circular pills into four quarters and prevents a user from having to split a single pill, rotate the split pill, and split the pill again in order to obtain a fourth of a dose. The four-way pill splitter is composed of an upper and lower housing. The upper housing contains blades that meet at a vertex and the lower housing contains an inverted cone-shaped insert that the blades from the upper housing fit into so that the vertexes of the blades and the inverted cone-shaped insert only touch in the closed position.

摘要： A hard disk destruction apparatus is presented having a penetrating point that is manually pressed against a hard disk. The point has an angled tip designed to penetrate the hard disk casing and deform the hard disk platters within. The manual pressing avoids the use of any electrical power or other fuel. In one described embodiment, a mechanical arbor press provides the necessary force. A transparent safety shield surrounds the hard disk during destruction. A restraint prevents upward movement of the hard disk when the point is extracted.

摘要： A system and method are provided for preventing a cloned modem from completing the registration process with a communications network. A cable modem termination system (CMTS) compares the media access control (MAC) address of a modem attempting to register with the network with a list of cable modems that are currently registered. If the MAC address is already contained in the list, the CMTS examines communication characteristics associated with the modem to determine if the device attempting to register is a clone. Additionally, a network monitoring system may be used to monitor the MAC addresses contained in DHCP messages to determine if a modem is potentially a clone.

摘要： A method of recording and delivering messages through an online platform includes a user account where the user account uploads the messages to the online platform. The user account includes a user profile and also creates a plurality of guest profiles where the plurality of guest profiles is assigned to view the uploaded messages. All of the uploaded messages are saved into a database through the online platform and secured until the user's death. The application software continuously searches through a vitality database for information which can be matched with the user profile. When a match is found for the user profile from the vitality database, the application software notifies a plurality of guests with a deceased notification link and a time sensitive password. The deceased notification link and the time sensitive password allow the plurality of guest to selectively view the uploaded messages.

The connection light may draw power directly from the UPS, or it may contain its own rechargeable battery. In some configurations, the light is detachable from the UPS.

The conditions may include the first server being predicted as failure prone, the first server consuming power less than a threshold, and the first server having resource utilization less than a threshold.
