摘要： A method and system for updating data, such as web certificates, software applications, or other data, detects a need to update data based on a communication between a first processing entity, such as a computer with a web browser, and another processing entity, such as a web server. The web server detects the need to update data and automatically redirects communication from the first processing entity and the second processing entity, so that the first processing entity communicates with a third processing entity. The third processing entity provides updated data, such as a new version of a web browser or other software application, and also provides update complete data indicating that the software, web browser or other data has been updated. The update complete data is provided for the second processing entity so that the second processing entity will suitably perform the process requested by the first processing entity.

The carrier is an elongated trough-shaped member with a pair of side walls that can fit respectively forward and rearward of the upstanding slotted contact portions, the side carrier walls having grooves which receive the insulated wires so that when the carrier is pressed against the connector the carrier forces the wires into the slots of the contact elements. The carrier has a resilient hook at either end which engages recesses formed in the connector frame as the carrier is pressed thereagainst.

摘要： A method and system for managing public key certificates is provided. A user purchases a block of unallocated time. When the user requests a certificate, the user specifies a life span for the certificate. A certificate is generated, and the life span of the certificate is deducted from the block of unallocated time. If the user revokes a certificate, the remaining lifetime of the revoked certificate is added back to the block of unallocated time. This allows certificates to be revoked without loss of purchased time, and gives the user more flexibility at requesting and revoking certificates.
