摘要： A diffuser cartridge (10) of restricted height is provided for controlling flow of air in an air conditioning system. The cartridge (10) has two axially aligned temperature sensitive elements (34,68) for respectively sensing room temperature and duct temperature variations. Arms (12) are provided for displacing an air flow baffle (B) and a control structure is provided for displacing the arms (12) in response to sensed room and duct temperatures. The control structure pivots the arms (12) cam-fashion as it is moved vertically by the temperature sensitive elements (34, 68). The control structure has two springs (54,56) that act in series to counter movement of the control structure by the temperature sensitive elements (34,68). The springs (54,56) are nested coaxially within each other, with an intermediate component (48) transferring compressive loads from one spring to the other. The control structure has control elements (58,60) that are independently movable to adjust set points of the diffuser, by moving collars (62,64) with cam surfaces, vertically.

摘要： An apparatus for organizing, transporting, and using medical devices and supplies during obstetrical evaluations, comprising a portable housing with an alarm system for contents thereof, a base housing capable of being structurally and electrically coupled to by the portable housing and optional housings, and a fixture mounting bracket for attaching the base housing to an examination table. The portable housing and base housing preferably have compartments for medical devices and supplies. The portable housing has a medical device compartment for accepting a Doppler receiving insert for storing a conventional Doppler device with a probe connected to a base, for accepting a customized Doppler base unit of an integral Doppler device with a probe connected to the base, or for accepting a scanhead receiving insert for storing a sonogram device with a scanhead connected to a console. The portable housing preferably also has a gel bottle compartment with a gel bottle heater for maintaing the temperature of a gel bottle stored therein. The alarm system preferably has at least one trigger device in the medical device compartment. Optional housings may include a recording housing for use with the Doppler or sonogram devices and/or a blood pressure housing. The base housing is attached to an examination table with the portable housing coupled thereto and conveniently located for use with a patient on the table with the medical devices secured and protected therein, and the portable housing may then be decoupled from the base housing for transport to other places.

摘要： Disclosed is a selection apparatus for a printer of the single element type wherein the single print element is carried by a print carrier. The carrier includes at least one cylinder having a plurality of axially spaced apart camming surfaces thereon, the cylinder mounted for both axial and rotational movement. Each of a plurality of selection pins is engageable with one of the camming surfaces to impart a predetermined but differing axial motion of the cylinder upon engagement of one of the pins with its associated camming surfaces and rotation of the cylinder. Pin selection apparatus permits engagement of selected ones of the pins with an associated camming surface, the pin selection apparatus including pin motion inhibiting apparatus associated therewith so as to inhibit multiple pin selection with associated camming surfaces to thereby prevent any attempt at differential camming of the cylinder along its axis by more than one pin engaging more than one camming surface.
