    • This invention is directed to a polymeric composition comprising (a) a continuous phase of a cross-linked organosilicon polymer comprised of alternating (i) polycyclic hydrocarbon residues derived from polycyclic polyenes having at least two non-aromatic, non-conjugated carbon-carbon double bonds in their rings and (ii) residues derived from the group consisting of cyclic polysiloxanes and tetrahedral siloxysilanes, linked through carbon to silicon bonds, and (b) a discontinuous phase of a low molecular weight hydrocarbon elastomer having at least two hydrosilation reactable carbon-carbon double bonds. In addition, this invention is directed to a prepolymer composition comprising (a) a hydrosilation cross-linkable organosilicon prepolymer which is the partial reaction product of (i) polycyclic polyenes having at least two non-aromatic, non-conjugated hydrosilation reactive carbon-carbon double bonds in their rings and (ii) cyclic polysiloxanes or tetrahedral siloxsilanes having at least two hydrosilation reactive .tbd.SiH groups wherein at least one of (i) or (ii) has at least three reactive groups, and (b) hydrocarbon elastomer having at least two hydrosilation reactable carbon-carbon double bonds.

    • A process for preparing a fried pie in the nature of a microwavable, pre-fried, batter-coated, dough-enrobed foodstuff and the foodstuff produced thereby. In the process, a foodstuff enrobed with dough is provided, as is an aqueous batter slurry formed by mixing an effective amount of water with a farinaceous based batter mix comprising a farinaceous material selected from the group consisting of starch, flour and mixtures thereof. The batter slurry is applied to the dough of the dough-enrobed foodstuff to coat the same, and the batter-coated dough-enrobed foodstuff is partially cooked in hot fat or cooking oil to pre-fry the same. The fried product is characterized by an acceptable level of crispness after freezing, prolonged freezer storage, and finally microwave cooking.

    • A reactive component, which is curable to form a nonpolar polymer containing silicon and carbon atoms, and having a glass transition temperature of at least 20.degree. C., is mixed with an antiplasticizer. The resulting mixture, a curable composition, is cured to form a composition having an increased modulus. The reactive component preferably comprises a polyene having at least two hydrosilation reactive carbon-carbon double bonds (e.g., dicyclopentadiene), and a silicon compound having at least two hydrosilation reactive .ident.SiH groups. Preferably the silicon compound comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of cyclic polysiloxanes, tetrahedral siloxysilanes, and linear polysiloxanes. Preferably the resulting cured composition is crosslinked, due to at least one member selected from the group consisting of the polyene and the silicon compound having more than two hydrosilation reactive sites. Preferably the curable composition further comprises a hydrosilation catalyst.
