    • A heat exchanger transfers heat between primary and secondary fluid coolants. A housing has a longitudinal central axis lying within a transverse housing plane. A bottom wall with a concave inner surface faces upward and extends along the central axis. A plurality of arcuately helical lower sector fins are spaced apart along the central axis on the bottom wall inner surface. A cover has a longitudinal central axis lying within a transverse cover plane. A top wall with a concave inner surface faces downward and extends along the central axis. A plurality of arcuately helical upper sector fins are spaced apart along the central axis on the top wall inner surface.A copper tube is assembled into the housing in a direction transverse to the housing axis with the tube closely adjacent the lower sector fins. First and second sealing means seal the tube ends to the housing. The cover is assembled into the housing in a direction transverse to the housing axis with the upper sector fins closely adjacent the tube. The upper sector fins, the top wall, the lower sector fins, the bottom wall, and the tube outer surface define a helical passageway around the tube outer surface. Primary coolant nozzles will direct the primary coolant through the tube. Secondary coolant nozzles and secondary coolant conduits will direct the secondary coolant through the helical passageway.The housing, the primary nozzles, the secondary nozzles, and the secondary conduits, are molded as a single unitary piece from a polymeric material consisting of either thermoplastic or thermoset resins. The cover is also molded as a single, unitary piece from a polymeric material.

    • A communications network offers a variety of services to the customer while being able to add or modify the portfolio of services available. A service delivery infrastructure is provided, which would sit in the Service Control Point of an intelligent network architecture, and which delivers services using an array of service independent features. In the arrangement described, the service delivery infrastructure has an object oriented architecture and interacts with systems, such as billing and network management in the communications network by means of objects within the infrastructure. An aspect of the infrastructure is the provision of selected sets of services to users of the communications network, which selected sets effectively provide dedicated service networks to each customer.

    • A service creation system for a communications network of the intelligent network type has three different levels at which service creation activities can be carried out, these being SCE1, SCE2 and SCE3. The use of separate levels allows access to the service creation system to be kept functionally separate for users having different interests in the network. Hence, features which have to be installed at the network element level for a selected service to be available can be created in SCE1. Marketable service features, which give a view of features in that they encapsulate call handling logic thereof together with support and management descriptions of the feature, can be created in SCE2. Service packages, which permit collection of marketable service features to meet requirements of a service together with service-specific support and management information, can be created in either of Sce2 or SCE3. Profiles, which list the features relevant to a service for a user and provide data slots for the data necessary to each feature, can be provisioned and modified in SCE3.

Baffles are adapted to be removably received between the chambers to selectively block flow.A plurality of tubes extends between upper and lower tube headers, comprising a tube bundle, removably received within each of the heat transfer tanks.A header O-ring is between each header and flange. A seal plate is disposed against each flange. Each seal plate has seal plate holes in alignment with the flange holes, defining a hole pair. Each hole pair has a groove to receive the header O-ring. Each manifold and seal plate has a manifold seal.The shell, the manifolds, the headers, and the flanges, are constructed of a polymer. The tubes are constructed of metal materials having efficient heat transfer properties.

    • A shell and tube heat exchanger has two shell coolant and two tube coolant passageways communicating with a cavity in a shell. Removably received in the shell cavity is a tube bundle with tube headers. A locating screw extends through the shell to engage a locating recess in one tube header. The screw locates the tube bundle angularly about the central axis and longitudinally along the central axis, and is also used to electrically ground the tube bundle. An end cover, a flow separator, and resilient disc to take up thermal expansion are installed in each end of the shell to direct coolant through the tube bundle in multiple passes. Receivers with rotatable connectors are bonded to each shell coolant and tube coolant passageway. Angled connector nozzles can be connected to external conduits in any orientation.
