摘要： Disclosed is a system and method for determining the compatibility level of users by creating an emotional DNA profile for the user and matching the emotional DNA profile with profiles of other users. Based on the matching performed, appropriate content or product is displayed to the user or the level of compatibility aspect between individuals is determined. The emotional DNA profile is created by receiving inputs from various sensors that can measure user's physiological responses to content as various signals such as, facial expression, audio tone, biometrics, eyetracking and the like for various time slices and/or optionally sub-segments of standard probe content. Based on the emotional DNA profile created for the user, the overall personality is determined by optionally augmenting additional explicitly mentioned personality information of the user. Further, the emotional DNA profile that is created is matched with other users profile to determine the level of compatibility aspect between individuals.

摘要： The present invention provides techniques by which updates may be incorporated in database indexes without causing deadlocks of user transactions. In deferred-incorporate update, the updates are propagated to the index only at transaction commit time. A method of handling transactions including updates in a database management system comprises the steps of receiving an update to a database maintained by the database management system, the update operable to cause an index of the database to be modified, recording the update in a log, and receiving an indication that the transaction is to be committed and in response, incorporating the update from the log into an index of the database. The update may comprise an insert operation and/or a delete operation.

摘要： The present invention relates to a system and method for implementing an assistive emotional companion for a user, wherein the system is designed for capturing emotional as well as performance feedback of a participant participating in an interactive session either with a system or with a presenter participant and utilizing such feedback to adaptively customize subsequent parts of the interactive session in an iterative manner. The interactive presentation can either be a live person talking and/or presenting in person, or a streaming video in an interactive chat session, and an interactive session can be a video gaming activity, an interactive simulation, an entertainment software, an adaptive education training system, or the like. The physiological responses measured will be a combination of facial expression analysis, and voice expression analysis. Optionally, other signals such as camera based heart rate and/or touch based skin conductance may be included in certain embodiments.
