    • An apparatus includes, in combination, an electrical component and a bracket. The electrical component has a first end configured to electrically connect to a circuit board. The electrical component defines an axis and has a width measured in a direction transverse to the axis. The bracket has a body defining a bore shaped to receive the electrical component. The body further includes a break in communication with the bore to allow expansion of the bore. In an at-rest state of the bracket, the bore has a bore width smaller than the width of the electrical component, and when the electrical component is received in the bore, the bracket is elastically deformed such that the electrical component is clamped in the transverse direction solely by the residual stress within the bracket without any additional clamp or fastener.

    • Automotive load cells having centralized, multi-axis, loose tolerance overload/limit stops provide improved strain gauge response. The modular, integrated stop assemblies magnify sensor substrate deflection by use of opposed concave (Belleville) springs are used in direct contact with the substrate to accommodate ±Z axis deflection and Mx/My moment angular rotation. A flanged guide member on the load stud permits a wide range of geometries. The substrate is thickened around the load stud hole and the outboard support bolt holes. Hollow rivets assist in design modularity. Strain gauges are placed at the yield zones symmetrically with respect to the X axis. The substrate hole Mx/My gap is larger than the stop bracket hole to insure a positive stop for Mx/My moments prior to yield. The inventive multi-axis stop assembly is used in any type load cell, including rectangular, thinned, notched, necked/dogbone, or cantilever substrates with any strain gauge layout configuration.

    • A diagnostic connector module for a vehicle includes an electronic communication module and a housing enclosing the electronic communication module. The housing has integrated connectors electrically connected to the electronic communication module. The integrated connectors include a diagnostic service connector for connection with an external diagnostic scan tool and a vehicle bus connector connectable to a vehicle bus. The diagnostic service connector has a plurality of female pin-receptors electrically connected to the electronic communication module, and the vehicle bus connector has a plurality of terminals electrically connected to the electronic communication module. A vehicle diagnostic system including the diagnostic connector module is also provided.
